hhello i need to know the best way of making backups of my games...i found a way with decrypting thhen using alchol 120...but the game burnt but i dont know if it came out right cuz it wont play and i have installed the dms4 pro into my ps2...when i burn the game on to a dvd should it take up the whole disc or should i see the burn up to only half the disc...i guess im not doing it right can you take me step by step...i keep getting the red message of death...plz help

Only post your question once. Is your mod chip flashed to play burnt games (most don't let you play backups until its flashed with toxic? bios)?

no sir i just boughht it and put it in...howw do i flash it withh toxics? and one more thing...whrn you back up the game on to a dvd does thhe data only sotre on hhalf the dvd disc or should it reach the outer edge of the dvd?

how much is burnt varies, depends on how big the game is. goto the dms site for info on flashing, http://www.dms3.com

Yeah the DMS 4 Pro needs to flashed with Toxic OS. The Toxic bios are for the DMS 4 lite. It sounds complex but all you do is download them from here: http://web02063.prolocation.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3327 and follow these directions:
How to Install

Installation directions vary depending on boot method:
- ELF boot: Simply execute the ELF using your favorite loader application
(PS2Menu, PS2Link, Naplink, PS2OS, LaunchELF etc) and follow the on-screen
directions.
- CD boot: Simply burn the BIN/CUE provided, boot the disc and follow the
on-screen directions.

thanks for the load...noww wwhat is elf boot etc. hhoww do i use the flash upgrade after i downloaded it...and can you tell me wwhat to do ofrom hhere...i hhave the dsm4 intact i hhave DVD Decrypter and alchol 120 and noww just downloaded thhe toxicbios 3.0? plz mastermind help me

Well I am not an expert at this, but as I plan on getting my PS2 chipped with a DMS 4 Pro in a week or two I have been reading a lot about it. First you need to download the Toxic OS (not the Toxic bios, those are for the DMS 4 lite). I recommend using the CD boot method. Use one of the mirrors in the link I gave you to d/l Toxic OS 0.3. At this moment it seems the DMS3.com servers are down. Google Toxic OS and you'll find a site that has it. You may want to wait until the DMS3 servers are back up though, there are a lot of pirated Toxic OS's out there, I wouldn't want you to use one of those and make this harder than necessary. Extract them with winzip or winrar (You should end up with like a .bin, .img, .mds, or nrg file). Burn to disc with Alcohol %120 using this guide. To burn the image. you need set to the data type to playstation, the write speed low (no faster than 4x) and the write method to DA0/SAO. This method worked for me about %90 of the time. If you burned the disc correctly, then all you have to do is put it in your PS2 and it will guide you from there. If this works lemme know. Good Luck!

You need to burn them to a CD-R. I don't think a DVD will work. Unzip the files and you'll end up with a .bin and .cue file. You don't have to use Alcohol I just assumed you still had it. You can either d/l a trial copy of Alcohol from here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/alcohol1... or lemme know which burning software you want to use and go from there. This really isn't hard I'll guide you through it.

if you download DVD Decrypter (or if you have nero), shrink can automatically use that to burn.

hhey ohh knowledgeable one...ok i got Nero oem and i think im ready to go...i think we left off at getting thhe zip and now do i burn a disk of the zip and play it on the ps2 so it downloads or what...step by step plz Nero is new to me too...waiting for you guidence...

Flattery will get you everywhere lol. Well Should be simple.
1.Unzip file. (You'll be left with .bin and .cue)
2.Open Nero Under make back up, click Burn Image.
3. Select the .cue file you extracted earlier.
3. Three or four buttons will be along the bottom. One should say Nero. Click on the Nero button, this will open Nero Burning ROM (Some people have reported trouble with this, saying they couldn't find it).
4. It should say Nero Burning ROM across the top.
5. Insert your blank disc and set the write method to disc at once and the write speed no higher than 4x.
6. Click burn and your backup should be ready in 20 mins or so.
7. Put the burned CD into your PS2 and it should it start the flash process automatically. Just follow the onscreen prompts from there.

when i extracted it did but my Nero wwont burn it said i need Nero rom or something...also can i use dvd decrypt and Nero as a combo for backups on dvd and games?

ok ok i thhink i got it but i dont think my Nero hhas the rom feature...i see thhe Nero button but when i hhit it it says chheck out Nero rom website...i go thhere and its a add for Nero 7...can i get an up grade from somewwhere else for thhe rom?

damn that was a long journey master...lol ok,ok i finaly got my alochol 120 registered k...so i think i un zipped the bin\que files of toxic...so i have an elf and a bin file...correct? so i go to open the elf file and it says it wwont open thhe file until it knows the backround of thhe file....so the computer looks online and cant find anything....so i guess im asking how do i open the elf file if my comp cant reconize it? what so i do? so many lil things thhat just get in thhe fuckn way...sorry mr. wisdom but god....how did you find out all this stuff...plz help
