On a lighter note, hes something to depress you :)
Halo 2 was announced for Q1 2004 around April in 2003. I know it was pushed back, but thats origionally when it was supposed to be ready to go. Thats at least 7 months in advance. If the rumors of Halo 3 are true, being releases in May 2006, do the math. Its not looking very good for a Spring release of Halo 3 :(

If Halo 3 doesn't come out soon or look nothing like Halo 1 i've lost all faith in the 360.

OMG I'm so sick of this being said about the spring 2006 release. Read back in the thread, I have already said that this is incorrect, and what I said is highly recognised.
I think that Halo 3 will be released in the Christmas Holidays next year.

@everyone who still thinks its coming out Spring 06, read my other post. If Halo 3 were coming out then, bungie would have at least announced they are making it.

I think that is a reasonable time, but in some instances I think it will be even later because Halo 2 was announced on the 8th of August 2002 waaaay before it came out. So I think the same will apply for Halo 3.

Yes thats when Bungie announced it, I believe it was announced in New York the scene in which they launched Halo 2.

they will probably release it november 06 just like halo 2 was released on november 11th or what ever because like some people said they would have already show something like a comercial on television or an ad on the internet if it were in Spring of 06

Hey guys ive been watchin this thread for a long while and finally decided to join. lol i recognize some names like the moderators (cant think of it jus yet) and hey slayer i recognize ur name from one i read in the past. O yea first off i dont even count on ps3 being released this spring. Im betin its gettin released wit the revolution xmas 06. so well probably have to wait that long for halo3.
ps. did any one hear a rumor that said halo3 may be lik 70 bucks or somthin

Yeah guys HALO 2 was relese on November 9 I know it very well because I got it at midnight and I don't care if I have to pay like 80 for HALO 3.

What?s wrong with Halo 3 being $70, here in the UK that converts to £40 which is what we always pay for a standard game.

At $80 that converts into £46, that?s nothing for a game in my opinion, and the price here in the UK will probably be more because of taxes. I dont mind. Why? because I dont think that £40 - £60 is a lot to pay for a game that will give you hours of "fun" basically.
If you are expecting to pay the same amount as an Xbox game or something, you are mistaken. We are talking about a totally high definition game, not to mention larger levels etc.
How much do you people in the US pay for games! There?s a lot of focus on the price of games these days, but not much consideration for what actually comes with the game, in terms of content.

Why does everyone keep arguing about this? OMG...I have a great idea...I know the absolute best way to predict Halo 3's release.....just wait until Bungie announces it! That is the ONLY way you're ever going to be certain. Jebus! Use your heads people...don't srgue over speculation. it's pointless.

I dont, it will take away the situations where you "dive into action". It will reduce the tempo of the game, contrary to what the Halo "trilogy" is.

Ok, first off Papa, no need to be an ass. This "discussion" isn't making any progress...it's people going back and forth about release dates that are merely speculation...secondly, the point I was making is that there are more things to be discussed than release dates, seeing as that's become the primary subject. Hence my last post, bringing up the suggestion of a gameplay enhancement for sniping. I wasn't trying to start anything, I'm simply trying to get this thread out of a cycle.

I see your point about the sniping thing...but it would still be useful in my opinion. it would not only take, but also add. I mean, there would be some strategy involved, you know?
