Yeah, don't blame Bungie for any bad experiences you had with H:CE PC. The Xbox version is very sound technically, with framerate drops very infrequent and only when there is a lot of action on screen (i.e. a dozen enemies firing on you, a couple allies firing back, a grenade exploding, and you firing the MA5B full auto will cause a brief framerate drop).

I JUST HOPE HALO 3 doesnt have 75% of the cheaters that we currently have. man think about it why cheat?
People cheat because it makes it much more entertaining (not saying halo 2 isnt entertaining...) Like, you can change everything, flying warthogs, high jumping, guns that shoot completely different projectiles, eg, a rocket launcher shooting a bunch of plasma grenades etc... bunch of bs crap!..... i mean as long as its in custom play so live doesnt lag or anythin like that its a diffrent story . but i pay $50 yearly to play a nice clean game ...... if you like to cheat then go to xbc or xkai as you will see alot of cheaters to meet your levels of cheating and then you'll see whos meets your match. but lets not get off topic... i would pesronaly would report ppl to get clean game.. call me snitch or not but i dont want halo 3 to be as meesed up as halo 2. and i know bungie is working hard so this wont be possible ......

Likewise, I dont agree with any form of cheating on any games that are on Xbox Live. Its okay as long as it doesnt affect anyone elses game play.

they did a terrible job. it was like about as inefficient as old processors, using more volts to do less. but if u had a good card then it was ok. but it doesnt stop that it was a fun game.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Actually, Bungie didn't really choose to put their game on Xbox, they were basically required to after MS bought them.

Back to Halo 3, I've been picturing a great map for it. Imagine basically 2 Relics, with each island separated by about 2 Coags length of water. Put the Doozy in H3 (watch the H2 Collector's Edition DVD) as a human vehicle to traverse water. Existing Covenant vehicles (Wraith & Ghost) hover, so they can go on water. Add in Pelicans/Covenant dropships for assaults to the other island. Plus the Pelican can hold a Scorpion/Warthog for even more firepower when reaching the opposition's island. As a counter to the potential Pelican/Dropship dominance, give each base some type of AA gun (perhaps a scaled down MAC gun - was there one of those in the books? I don't remember...) that can be fired once per round. Plus include vehicle to vehicle boarding, so skilled players can take a Banshee to go board a Pelican/Dropship, take out the players on board, kill the pilot and control it themselves. To make things more interesting, give the Wraith even more range (using something similar to the plasma pistol - hold down the trigger for extra range but reduced firing rate). Oh, and include changing time and weather effects, not just for this map, but every map. Sorry for rambling on, I just would really love to play something like this in Halo 3. Too bad Bungie will probably take the conservative (still great, but conservative) route and give us H2-style MP.

Yeah, but it'd be basically worthless without some of the additions Bungie's unlikely to make like the Pelican/Covenant Dropship, Doozy, vehicle to vehicle boarding, etc.

well if there is a map maker, and you make that map, i will buy x-box live just to play it with you. (presuming u can play custom maps on xbox live). cuz that is one aweosme idea. but be sure to factor in jetpacks. and a sort of light bridge that a small middle island can turn on and off, making an awesome battle for the bridge and random turn offs causing players falling to the water. fuun.

and about my last post, i made that 1 bad sarcastic joke when i was tired and just a little drunk... :) i'll try to not let it happen again.

Light bridge=awesome idea. That would be great. Jetpacks, however, I don't know. They can be fun, but they don't really seem to fit Halo's gameplay. Although Elites do use them, so maybe they could be put in as a Covenant "vehicle". It'd be important to make sure they control better than in PDZ, though. And the player limit should be upped to around 50. Just imagine 1 Flag CTF. On offense 8 Spartans load into the Pelican (with a human pilot), bringing a Warthog with them. 2 people take the Doozy and make a stealthy assault to the light bridge controls. They activate it and continue to the other island, while the rest of the team comes storming across the bridge. Then out of nowhere, a Banshee comes flying in towards the back of the Pelican. The player mows down the Spartans riding in, then leaps out of his Banshee into the back of the Pelican (or if he's seen flying in or gets too close, one of the Spartans could easily leap out of the Pelican onto the Banshee, kick him out and send him plummeting to his death). A quick melee attack to enter the cockpit, and a sticky to the pilot and he takes control and turns the Pelican against the offense. But then, the offense gains control of the small MAC gun and fires.....

Hopefully Bungie will build these features into the game, or at least have an editing/mod feature to allow us to create them.

i dont like large fights. i like no more than 12 people, cuz then i always keep dying so fast..

Not necessarily. The reason being is that game developers are always looking for more space to put the game on, but at the moment they simply do not have enough space. As a result they cut their storyline short and/or they reduce the quality of the graphics. All the hd cd's would allow is more space, but it would be filled straight away. You can never have to much space. Just because there is a lot of space does not mean that there will be loads or levels, or loads of multiplayer levels. Game developers will simply increase the quality of their games which will in turn fill up all the space :)

yeah i suppose so, bu like the original halo 2 they will probaly relese more maps again. if xbox 360's hardrive was better, you could store the maps their. or maby they could have to discs. 1t one is the campain mode and the second one is all the online modes

i dont unerstand the whole 99 bucks for a 20 gig. i think ms is planning to use the hd-dvd drive more than they want us to know right now. it think its an addon now, then later they will say "oh its time to save the adon we are including hd-dvd now!" then use it just for movies for a month or 2 then "omg now hd-dvd games are the coolest, you all need them"

They never said they would do Blu-ray, thats ps3, coz sony bought the rights to use it I think. But i could be wrong. Anyway Microsoft (360) always wanted to use HD.
