DVD Shrink cannot locate the file after running DVD Decrypter

Help ! I have a large DVD to copy - so as per the guide, I first start the DVD Decrypter - after completing DVD Decrypter the next step I go to is DVD Shrink - however I get an error message- " Failed to open file "C:\VIDEO_TS.IFO" - it cannot find the specific file/folder created by DVD Decypter? I also tried to "search" for the Destination File: C:\BNBDISC1.ISO - but could not find it. WHat am I doing wrong?

FYI - I have already defragged the hard drive and uninstalled and reinstalled DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

It looks like you did everything right. The file generated was in your c drive root directory. Try DVD Decrypter again on the same file and location in ISO mode. If the data is there, decrypter should prompt you with an "overwrite existing file". If you don't get that prompt, then the data was not there. What happened to it is anybodys guess. You can also use decrypter in the file mode, extracting the complete disc files to your HD and then open those files with Shrink. Your log shows a couple of things like your file system is FAT32 and that may give you problems.

To change to NTFS, do a search on this forum for FAT32 or NTFS. I know i read a post on how to change your system, but i cant remember the exact thread. It was very easy to do. Another thing i saw in the log was where decrypter was inserting dummy sectors.

DVD Decrytper is a great program, and i use it often, however it can not handle some of the newer encyptions as it is not updated. Try DVDFabDecrypter. It works like DVD Decrypter, in extracting/decoding data to HD, but it is updated. DVD Shrink is another great program i love, but it also is not updated anymore. Look under the software tab on this site, and try some different free programs. I have AnyDVD running in the background, and use DVD Shrink to encode. I dont need to keep a copy of the original on my HD, so the only time i use decrypter is when i want to do a fast copy using the ISO read/write method.
