Hello,

I am trying to back up Band of Brothers disk 1. I used decryptor to rip the DVD as an ISO file. The disk is nearly brand new and relatively scratch free. I cleaned the disk with lens cleaner and a cotton towel prior to ripping and everything went smoothly. When I tried to compress the file in Shrink, I got a Data Error (cyclic redundancy check) error. If the rip went alright, then why wouldn't Shrink be able to compress it? Should I redo this by ripping to File mode? I tried using the 21 day trial of cloneDVD2 but it said the ISO file was too big. I would appreciate any input. Also, I copied disk two successfully.

Welcome to the forum. Rip the disk in file mode - all of the files to HD and then process accordingly using Shrink to bring up the file and convert to .iso and then use DVDDecrypter to burn
