DVD Shrink and .ISO Files - HELP

DVD shrink is great. My first download was version 3.1 and it is fantastic. So I uploaded version 3.2....however, I cannot get it to rip the dvd as a .iso file...

I go to target drive, and change the setting and it confirms it will rip and copy file to the destination as a .iso, but once ripped it relects the file as .mds and these are about 5 or 6 files....

Can anyone help...??

Having the same problem here. Trying to save a DVD to an .ISO file but backup gets copied to pc as 5 different files with .I00, .I01, .I02...extensions. I can get DVDShrink3.2 to backup to ISO files on 1 of my pc's but the other one it does this. Both pc's are running WINXP pro. Wierd

Edit out your e-mail address. Posting your e-mail address is against forum rules. A lot of spam bots search thru forums to spam users who have posted their e-mail.

About the problem(s):

Most likely, the hard drive you are using to save the ripped .iso (or files in a VIDEO_TS folder) is a FAT 32 type (file system). A file cannot exceed the gigabyte barrier, therefore, DVD Shrink split up those files somewhere around .99 GB (1 gigabyte equals 1024 MB)...

If you are able to convert your hard drive to NTFS, then you wouldn't get so many files. I would suggest to back-up the contents of that hard drive (if possible) and then convert it to NTFS.

Thugs, 1 thing....I hear you on the file system, however with version 3.1 the dvd rips into a .iso file no problem on the same PC.

Thanks again for help my problem was 1 pc was running XP on a FAT32 partion, NTFS pc works correctly.
