when i try to play the map i modded, in this case contaiment, it says fail to load map, what am i doing wrong? i am ftping it back into my xbox but i might be putting it into the wrong folder, i dont know, im a noob at this, just started but got a pretty good hang of it, but i need some help please!

I know that this may seem offtopic, but whenever I try to change the warthog speeds it never works, also whenever I try to shoot out vehicles or do other things it crashes, and when I shoot out plasma grenades they fall to the ground they don't actually shoot like I'd like them to, any and all help is appreciated. I'm thinking i just may need some plugins so if so can you please direct me where to get them and what to do with them

i just tried shooting master cheif/mp out of the warthog chaingun, didn't work...it seems like everything i do involving swapping weapons or projectile freezes the game!

this is to drummer44 !! ur a big fat noobie ! anyway all u hav 2 do is resign the map usin Coolspots Map Resigner ! just search it on google and its easy enough to find ! hope tht helps

How do I do 1080 Auto Aim? I am trying to do it with a sniper on turf. I am not going to use it for cheating. If you aren't going to answer my question and flame me, then PM me your flame.

i am a big noob but i have modded and stuff got all maps modded.
I HAVE A QUESTION:
can u have a map modded and then get different mods?
(want new sancutary0) is that possible if it has already been modded

yes, but if you make too many mods then some of them might conflict.

Im kind of a new modder and have my old maps working fine but i cant get my new maps to work. I know your suppose to add the map to the menu but i dont know what to put down for them and how...

umm i just dowlaoded a thing of mods..and i dont have all of the maps so that i can apply the ppf patches to them so that i can play them all..i want to try to re-copy my halo2 to my hdd but i dont have enough space and ive cleared up all the space i can..can some1 tell me a way that i can clear ep some space on my hdd so that i can copy my halo2 game fully to mu hdd?

Its pretty much impossible to get ALL the halo maps on your HDD, including the campaign ones, unless you get a bigger HDD or something like that.

ok , i have been using the halo 2 modding program insolence and i was wondering if you could use it in campain. like changing the enemy's skin (elites into flood),level's structures,level's scenery (like fog)?? etc...just like multiplayer.
since people on here actually know how and what there doing.
all i want and NEED is help!!!! :-P

Ok i would like to know what is the real diff between a soft mod and using a mod chip? is there any at all? sorry for the noob question. i just want to know which one i should do. any type of help would be appreciated. thanks

softmod- Using a linux installer gamesave that you transfer through action replay to install a different dashboard to expand the xbox's abilities.
Modchip- Open your xbox and use a soldering iron to connect wires of a special chip to your xbox, then flashing the bios and installing a new dashboard from the modchip's OS menu

I have an account on xbox live. if i choose to soft mod will i still be able to play on live? or will i get booted from it. i want to mod but not if i will get booted.

as long as you don't have any modded files on your xbox you won't get banned from matchmaking.
to prevent getting banned from live altogether, use a good installer like Krazies ndure installer. It will only let you go on if you coldboot because if you coldboot, the xbox is in an unmodded state. To coldboot,
1.open tray, put the disc in, close the tray.
2.turn the xbox off when the tray is closed in.
3. Boot the xbox with the disc already in the drive so it loads up to the game. It should have a green power light if you did it right.
