go to the proj tag of the weapon you want to shoot out the warthog out with and replace that with the warthog.

shadow84 - i want to know pretty much how to use the whole program. ive used dothalo following tutorials, but everytime i do it, the map doesnt load when i start up halo 2. if you have any pointers or helpers that would be great.

if your dothalo doesnt work then use this older version on dothalo called halo 2 edit

6.install dothalo, if dothalo does not open then you probably didnt install the right .NET framework.
7.if dothalo works then open a map you want to mod, make sure you open the map from the 'modded maps' folder.
8.now if you want to apply a .PPF to a map then simply click APPLY PPF PATCH, then it will ask you for the ppf, goahead and put the ppf in and click apply ppf patch.
9.once the patching is done, click 'fix encryption', and once the encryption has been fixed, close the map.
10.get your FTP connection back and overwrite(replace) the map in the halo 2 folder in you xbox with the one you just modded.
11.once the transfer is done, reboot your xbox and start halo 2, and enjoy your modded map.
IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM I OR ANY OTHER MODDER WILL ANSWER YOU QUESTION/S.
a lot of people dont understand this so i will say it again, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO ON XBOXLIVE WITH A MODDED MAP< YOU WILL SURELY GET BANNED.

ok you probibly didnt re-sign the map after you where done moding it download ch2r off of the websight halo maps i think or download it off of google. ok so you open dot halo and then do your moding then save it then fix the encription then you open up ch2r then go to the maps tab then click open map and open the map you just moded then click on the map you just modid in the wight space then a action tab will come up and click resign map and after thats done you close out of ch2r and FTP to your xbox just make shure you close out of ch2r or you will come up with an error on ftping and then your done.
tell me if that works and feel free to ask questions.
and can some on answer my question.

no they wont they only kick you if you gointo matchmaking with the modded files.... how else do you think they kick you off....... its not like there watching ur costum games.... my friend mods in costum all the time and go legit matchmaking hes never been band u only get bannd for modding in matchmaking if u mod in matchmaking or even go tino the box host part then yes ul get kicked but if u never enter matchmaking ur good

all i want to do is mod (my 360, i'll prolly do alot of other bleep to my xbox) halo 2 so ppl cant boot me from online games, im tired of being booted for somthing i dident do or killing somone who obviously deserved it i.e. screaming babbling incoherent gay pride slogans and cussing at me.

Can anyone help me, im trying to rip halo 2 to me pc. and modd it from there, number one, i cant figure out how to get the files of the disk. basically can it be done. loading from my dvd drvie on my pc? cuz all that hookin pc to xbx just dont seem right when i can decrypt the game on my pc. modd it and burn a new copy. but i know i can be done i just cant figure it out. plz hlep

Get Xbox Ripper, if you have the xbox and your computer connected to the same hub and your Halo 2 disk is in the xbox but not loaded (your still in the modded dashboard) run xbox ripper and it will load all the files from the disk onto your computer and then you can just delete the maps and other stuff you dont need, it's very simple. I havnt been able to use my computers disk drive, I think it's because the xbox's dvd drive and your computer's are wired differently, I even tried ghosting the disk (copying the exact binary off the disk) and couldnt get a proper copy. It is very easy to set this up and I think you'd spend more time looking for a way to do it through your computer than just connecting your xbox through a hub, besides you'll have to do that anyway when you want to load your mods onto your xbox.

ok i follewed like ten tuts on how to mod maps i did it exactly how it told me to and i have halo 2 on the hdd when i put the maps back on the xbox and i go to load them they just freze why why why
i modded two maps and reisigned them the right way and all

One thing I found while modding is if I did a bunch of modding at once and then tried it, if one thing went wrong it would freeze and I?d have to redo all the modding because I didn?t know what went wrong. Now I just do one thing at a time and then test it, that way if something goes wrong I?ll know what it is and just be able to change it back without loosing a bunch of other mods. You should also back up your modded map before adding another mod so you can just revert to the backup and you don?t have to go and undo your changes.

You'll have to pull the original maps off the disk again if you mod them, it's illigal to put the maps on the internet. for mods however there are patches you can download that record only the changes made to the map and you can get a program to change the original map to the modded one from only a small file. That way it's legal and you dont have to download the entire map.

hay i changed the projectile to the grunt but when ever i shoot it out of the plasma pistol then take a diffrent gun and shoot the grunt it freezez soo can someone give me a tutorial or something on how to fix it

I tried the same thing with spawning vehicles and it freezes too. If you figure out how to fix this, please post it. I'd like to spawn allies in difficult campaign situations. Also, does anyone know how to put a jackal shield in multiplayer so you can pick it up like a weapon and dual wield it?
