DVD Shrink Says It's Burned Successfully But Disk Won't Play

I have a Gateway M520 Laptop with a 2.8 P4 Celeron with 480 MB of RAM. I have a Hitachi 4x DVD burner. I use Memorex DVD-R media and Sony DVD-R media. I have a OEM version of Nero for burning software.

I have just tried DVD Shrink for the first time. I have been using DVDXCOPY for a while but had heard about DVD Shrink. I cant say how much I like DVD Srink. Very nice program. I stoped using DVDXCOPY only because some newer movies out will not copy.

DVD Shrink has backed up several movies for me but now I am having problems with the finished disks. Basically DVD Shrink gets all the way to the end, it says burn was successful but the disk will not play in any of my dvd players.

Any thoughts?

After using DVD Shrink have you actually burned an image onto a disc using DVD Decrypter or Nero or another burning prog? DVD Shrink cannot burn discs.

I have a OEM version of Nero. I ment when Nero was finished.

I'm not real familiar with Nero, but I've never had any probs using it. Did you get any error msgs after the burn? Have you tried DVD Decrypter...it's an excellent prog that can extract and burn, and best of all you can D/L it from this site for free.

No. No error messages. When it was finished it said the normal message. I havent tried DVD Decrypter but I am definately going to look at it. Thank you for the reccomendation.

You know, the older I get I realise just how vaulable all of my belogings are. These iteams we have such as DVD movies, games, etc... cost allot of money. I am so glad there are programs such as these that can help me to protect my investment.

It's nice to know that a there are ways of making a costly hobby from becoming even more costly.

Check out the guides in my sig for using both progs.


...and by the way steer clear of those memosux, and make sure the Sony's are made in Japan.
