I bought Robots and The Longest Yard. I have tried to use DVDFab Decrypter and DVD Shrink. IT doesn't work. I tried using Any DVD and DVD Fab and Shrink, won't work, lastly I used DVD decrypter Any dvd and Shrink, still won't work. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong and why it won't work? Thanks!

Hi, a great guide for using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 is located in my signature block. Has a lot of insights into the programs. I know that I learned a lot from it.

Thanks a lot. I tried to do Crash and Oceans 12 too and they won't work either, I don't know if something is wrong with my computer or if I'm just doing something wrong. Thanks a lot!

I've backed up all the mentioned titles except Robots with no problems using only DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Read the guides and happy burning.

I'm not sure I will go through a movie and I will tell you. It goes through the whole thing and if I try to burn it it says it can't do it or if I use dycrpter it says something like invalid form or something along those lines. I will tell you for sure when I make a video. Thanks a lot!

You might want to make sure that your firmware is up to date for your burner as well.

You can go here to learn how to update your firmware: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50100

Back to my original question though, what is the exact error message you are getting (word for word) if you can?

That isn't always the case, specially with low quality media. Maybe save yourself from a major headache and try a different brand.

I tried burning one last night when I went to bed and it got over half way done but then it failed. I upgraded the firmware, I switched dvds and I upgraded Nero. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks again!

Could you post a recent log file from Nero ?

To do so, go here: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero
Look for a file named "NeroHistory.log"
Open that file up and copy the last log in it.
Then paste it here.

(Don't forget to remove/delete your serial number from the top of the log file. It usually starts with "1A2.-....-.....".)

toka1224,

You still have not set the target size

Writing to closer to the outer rim. Set target size to 4300 and custom

The blank media still does not like that burner

Go to the store and find some Maxell's ( 4X ). You are going to have to find a brand that burner likes

The blank disks you are using are Verbatim Datalife and they are very good disk as I use them w/ no problems. Might be time for you to get a new burner as that burner is not seeing the Verbatim code

You may or may not know how to set the target size but, here is a refresher course:

How to lower the "Target DVD size" -

Open DVD Shrink. Click "Edit", then "Preferences". On the first tab at the top in the drop down box, change it from "DVD-5 (4.7GB) to "Custom" and enter a number of 4200MB (4464MB is burning to the edge of the disc, you want to stay away from the edge as the edge of cheap media (disc's) are poorly manufactured). Screen Shot Below:
