Dude...all you gotta do to rip a dvd as an iso to your HD and then burn it is really simple all you have to use is DVD Decrypter thats all!!
Ok first insert the dvd you wanna rip then go to DVD Decrypter then click mode----iso---read ( that will rip the dvd into your HD) and then mode----iso----write [ that will write the dvd into a blank dvd-r(duh)]. if you still dun get what i am saying then tell me so i can help u in a more detailed form. THats wht i usually do to copy dvds.

I'm using only -R and -RW disks because my TV connected DVD reader only support minus standard.
The log said that the burn is succesfull (as always) but unforunately I still have skips anf freezes problems.
Now I'm trying to change media using a Philips DVD-R and also chaning movie.

The Phillips discs you are going to try are ok, but if you can, try to get some fujifilm made in japan -Rs, Sony MIJ -R is good also, Verbatim data life plus -Rs are good too. Any grey area media will not conclusively answer the problem. We need 1 burn with good media to rule out the media issue. Others can post their favorite media, but Taiyo Yuden (under the sony and fuji MIJ) and Verbs are the best media you can get. Thats my opinion, and i am sticking with it :)
Also, just as an afterthought, have you tried cleaning the laser in your pc, or is it happening on multiple machines? Also sometimes a badly fragmented HD can cause skipping and freezing on copies. If you rip movies often, your drive will get fragged fairly quickly.

I finally succeeded in it!!
After updating DVD Decrypter (to ver 3.5.4.0) and the firmware of the burner and setting the target size of Decrypter to 4300, I also defrag completely the HD and use a different media: this last attempt seem to be OK.

This last time I use a DVD-R that is branded as Philips but if I use DVDInfoPro to get media info I find that the Manufacturer ID is FUJIFILM03.
Can someone explain me the reason of this thing? And how can I know who is the real manufacturer of a DVD when I buy it?

Tomorrow I will perform some more test, but it seems that the problem is solved.
So Thank You to everybody for the very useful suggestions that You gave me.
Happy Halloween to Everybody

You can clean your laser by using a cd lens cleaner they are often cheap and work good. once you get it you must clean your lens every so often so u dun get problems in da duture. try getting a good with a brand one and not lke the mistake u made b4.
