try DVDFab Decryptor w/ Shrink - it is also a free program - it will unlock the movie for you and you can shrink it it shrink - see if that works
You can download it from the "SOFTWARE" part of this afterdawn site

DVDFab should do the job, or you can use AnyDVD in the background with DVD Shrink .
"ARccOS? is the first and only available digital and dynamic DVD-Video copy control which effectively prevents unauthorized DVD copying on PC. ?Our customers are pleased to finally have found a copy control solution for DVD-Video that protects their content successfully."

What region are you in?
Are you using the latest version of DVD Decrypter , which is version 3.5.4.0 ?

Both of these are Columbia Tristar movies. Both have Sony ARccOS copy protection on them.
Because of this, DVDShrink will definitely not work as a ripper on the original disc.
The latest version of DVDDecrypter will work, in order to rip the files to your hard drive. However, it is possible you may have to import a custom .PSL file. You did not state which region and country these discs are, so that makes it tougher to guide you.
For "XXX The Next Level," I suggest you carefully read this link:
http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=51071
For "The Marksman," I suggest you click on this link, and then you need to look at a post on the third page, where someone has posted a PSL file for use with this movie (if you are in the same region). If not, you may end up having to create your own.
http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=51071
To create your own PSL file:
http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=53134
(Once on your hard drive, of course, you can then use DVDShrink's "OPEN FILES" to open the thing and then compress it, re-author, or whatever procedure you typically follow).
Other possible solutions: Clone DVD, or using AnyDVD or DVD43 running in the background might work. OR, you can try out Elby's software, and Slysoft's CloneDVD.

The movie "The Marksman", region 1 is rippable with just DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 . It does not need a PSL file.

I got it done with AnyDVD , DVDdecrypter, and DVDShrink. No problems. Make sure your disc is clean.
