I've tried doing Six Feet Under three times now. Every time it gets to 100 percent with 2 seconds left it stops and then an error box pops up saying Dvd Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Programming Error-exception occured Can you tell me what the problem might be?

I've experienced this problem before.
There could be two reasons for this:
1. The DVD itself may be physically damaged, such as a scratch. (could explain a rear error with DVD Shrink but unlikely since it was at 100% when you got the error message).
2. Some DVD's need a program other than DVD Shrink to be decrypted. I suggest decrypting the DVD with DVD Decrypter and then open it in DVD Shrink to shrink it down.
DVD Decrypter should do it for most DVD's that don't work with DVD Shrink. If it still does not work, although I haven't tried it yet, I heard some people say AnyDVD could solve that problem.
Just tryin to help here, but to be honest, I'm no real expert...

I too have had these problems with DVD Shrink. DVD Fab decrypter or Avy DVD will usually take care of it. I always suggest DVD FAB Decrypter, sinse it's FREE.

I have tried everything that you have said, I have used Dvd Decryper alone and with Any DVD I uninstalled and reinstalled DVD Shrink. I just burned the first two and the last one but I cannot get the third one to burn. I just tried it again after I uninstalled and reinstalled and I get the same result. Do you think it might be the DVD?

Are you burning 4 disks and only one of them is not working?
Dirty disk? Scratched disk? Bad pressing?
Try cleaning the disk. Examine for scratches. Try reading it from another drive, if you have one.

Like 2oldGeek said, it is probably the disc itself that is physically defective or damaged.
I would think that the same movie would use the same kind of encryption / copy protection even if it's on different discs.
There are lots of bad pressings now for new DVD's. I'm not sure why.

I'll try cleaning the disc and see if that helps. Thanks again for all of your help.
