Shink should be able to take of the protection. and if it can't then decrypt can do the job.

Stealth isn't out here yet, but if DVD Shrink can't do it, I would suggest trying DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD they should do the trick!

It usually take me about 40 minute to an hour to go throught the entire process of ripping/shrinking/encoding/burning a backup.

I don't see how you used DvDFab because I've tried that among everything else and wasnt able to copy stealth. If it didnt copy vts1.5, 1.6 then it's not right because those are both a gig a piece. So you're missing 2/5 of the movie. Obviously since it doesnt come out for a week nobody will be able to break it, but if anyone else that works for retailers has broken it, please tell how!

Just because it hasn't been released yet doesn't mean it's unbreakable. It probably has the same encryption on it that Lords of Dogtown and Bewitched has. In which case AnyDVD running behind DVD Shrink should do the trick.

Also, if it is new ARccOS protection, you can try ripping the movie using DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode. Just skip all of the corrupted cells (use trial and error, but they will be small length like 1 second or under). You will then need to rebuild the VTS using IFOEdit to correct the VOB Pointers (use its strip streams function). If you want the whole Disc, rip the main movie in IFO Mode and the rest of the disc in File Mode.
If you are patient, wait for the official release (just so that more people have a go at it) or when AnyDVD or DVDFab get updated, though both should be able to get it done now, just maybe not as smoothly.

Ok I ripped the entire disc in ifo mode which gave me 6 files. vts 1-5 and the ifo file. Now when I open up IFOEdit and open the single ifo files and bring up strip streams which options do I check to correct it into a DvDShrink burnable file? Or does it not work that way?

Use IFO mode for the movie only. Since you did everything else in IFO, go into File mode and find out which files you missed and rip those. Most likely you will need the VIDEO_TS.xxx, VTS_0x_.bup, and other small files like that.
As for fixing the VOB, only fix the main movie. That is all that is corrupt. I am not sure which VTS the main movie is for this one, but say it is VTS_01. Open VTS_01_0.IFO with IFOEdit. Now click on VOB Extras in the top and select "strip streams". It will list the audio streams. Uncheck those you do not want to keep. You can also strip sub-titles streams. After you are finished, click OK and wait. IFOEdit will create a new set of VOB files for the VTS along with a new VIDEO_TS.IFO & VTS_0x_0.IFO.

Just as INFO: at the beginning I had problem with Stealth DVD, I unsuccessfully tried DVDDecrypter( it didn't copy the first 23 chapters), DVDFABDecrypter, DVD Shrink without success. So DVD43 did the trick, I tried DVDDecrypter with DVD43 in the background, then Nero Recode. I am not really sure if this was the the reason but it worked.
Stealth DVD is Sony Corp product and they are inserting a new code

Bewitched worked with DVD Decrypter. I then used DVD Shrink to copmpress and the main movie was 100% with the extras at about 60% or so.
You have to use IFO mode for ARccOS movies. What Sony does is, put some corrupt cells somewhere in a VOB. This will usually be at least one entire VOB Cell. However, they WILL NOT corrupt part of the actual movie. These corrupted cells will have commands so that the DVD Player will skip them (not a DVD Ripper though, since those do not read the commands)), otherwise there will be no playback at all.
You can spot corrupted cells easily by looking at the length of the cell. If a cell is .07 seconds long, then it has a chance of being corrupted. Look for all cells that are under 10 seconds in the main movie. Try to rip them. If they fail, cancel and take note of it. Do this until you eliminate all of the bad cells. For Bewitched it was 2 cells; cell 14 and cell 15 found in VTS_02_1.VOB, Chapter 1. When I backed up the movie, I skipped all cells before the Lady Liberty intro which was cell 23, so I unchecked cells 1 through 22.
Another way to look at it is, there should be 1 cell for each chapter except the first chapter which will almost always have some type of logo, like the FOX thing, or the short WB Logo movie. If a chapter has more than one cell mark it as suspect (on notebook paper or something). If Stealth is like Bewitched, only the last two Cells of Chapter 1 are needed and the rest are Garbage. Also, just because a cell is rippable, does not mean you should rip it. Like Bewitched, the first 22 cells were all Garbage, meaning either blank or just containing a small (under 1 second) random clip. Skip all those to make things easier. Just start with the Lady Liberty Logo.
One more note, before importing to DVD Shrink, make sure you press "Get VTS Sectors" in IFOEdit. This will correct and resave all of the IFO files.

I succesfully backed up the stealth
I ran AnyDVD in the background and used dvddecripter in ifo mode and copied only the main movie files, I then used DVD Shrink ( re-author)
I copied the main movie files using dvdshrink in re-author mode and then I created an iso file and burned it with Alcohol 120%.
Good luck to everyone

Sucessful backup of Stealth.
First allow the AnyDVD 5.5.1.1 to run by itself this will assist in the protection removal. Then run DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD in the background. Remember you need to go to (tools>settings>I/O>in the interface area click on ElbyCDIO - Elaborate Bytes> you should select all files because if you don't DVD Shrink 3.2 won't identify correctly. Now run in (File F) mode. It will backup a crisp replica of the movie. Cheers-Shout out to Sting3r-wolv3r1n3

JaguarGod-Ran IFOEdit following your directions. Everything went fine until I pressed 'Get VTS Sectors', then box after box of caution warnings. I pressed ok for each of them and ran it about 4 times. The resulting collection of files failed to open in DVD Shrink. Where do you suppose I went wrong?

My post in this thread was more of a suppliment to other posts in different threads.
I bet you you get an error like "Invalid Data in VTS_0x_1.VOB".
You first want to correct the VOB Navigation. This will completely re-write the Main movie.
Open the IFO that is part of the main movie VTS with IFOEdit. If the movie is in VTS_03 open VTS_03_0.IFO. Now look on top and select "Vob Extras=>Strip Streams" On the next screen, make sure you choose a destination that exists, otherwise you will get an error saying it cannot write the file. If that happens, create a new folder for the VTS and set the destination there.
When you click OK, it will go to another screen. This is where you can pick which streams to keep. You can keep only the first or keep them all. It is up to you. You can always remove them in DVD Shrink. Click OK once again. This will create a new VTS.
Now move the files from the new folder to the original folder. Run IFOEdit once more and pres "Get VTS Sectors". The messages you get are nothing. Doing this corrects the sector addresses, so it is just giving you this info.
Now you can import the movie into DVD Shrink and you should not have any problems. I know this method works, because I backed up Sony ARccOS movies using DVD Decrypter 3.1.0.0 from mid-2002, which does not support Structure Protection.
Let me know if you are still having problems.
Edit: If there are a lot of Previews like most Sony Movies have, use VobBlanker (a separate program) to blank them out. You should be able to preview the VOBs in VobBlanker using the "pre/cut" button.
