I tried to burn stealth and I was using DVD Fab along with AnyDVD and used Nero record to burn it back to disc...don't know if i should have done that or not but what happens is the movie stops at the end of ch8; right when the plane gets hit by lightning. and it freezes.

has everyone watched the movie all the way through to make sure it plays all the way?

I will try DVD Shrink and Anydvd

Another alternative is to use just DVD Decrypter, only with a Structured Protection List file (PSL file). Various people make these files based on the DVDD error Log. DVDD has an option under File>Mode>Edit to read in these text files and use them when decrypting.

Anyway one such file that does work (at least for me) is over on the Digital Video Forums - message #12 by V-BOT:

mike 089. Your quote

"That's not correct. You can use DVDFab Decrypter, then burn it. But wait till you try to play it. It skips chapters and is all screwed up.

DVDFab needs an update to crack this one."
Don't know what to tell you. It played for me fine last night

Wow, so Ripguard made its debut? I though Sony owned Dreamworks though. Why would they implement ARccOS and Ripguard??? Aren't they similar copy protections? It seems like Sony would have to pay rolayties or something for Ripguard and that does not make sense.

Also, people were copying this movie a few days ago. Did they release an "Extreme" Version with 22 extra Previews of crappy movies? Odds are I will never see this protection though (ripguard) as I do not plan on getting or renting Madagascar. Also, If James says it will take a couple of weeks to crack, it will be cracked, and maybe sonner.

Why do they bother??

EDIT: Guess I goofed. It's Universal that owns Dreamworks isn't it.

Just an FYI, I ran AnyDVD, inserted my Stealth DVD, opened up DVDShrink (re-authored and kept just the movie - for best pic quality) and backed up my movie. Tested and it works great. Just wanted you to know that it works great with just those two tools with no troubles.

I used the demo version of AnyDVD 5.5.1.1 along wit DVD Shrink. The movie ripped perfectly. I then burned it with DVD Decrypter, and it then previewed the DVD. It appears to have successfully done the job.

I used AnyDVD to grab the files off the disk, and then I used Nero to burn them to an ISO. The ISO works fine when I mount it and watch the movie, but when I try to compress it with Nero Recode 2 it doesn't detect the main movie, and when I select the VOB files, the first one doesn't have any audio. Any ideas on this one?

I too had a problem backing up Stealth. I tried everything. Went to a forum that suggested DVDFAB. I downloaded express not knowing the difference. I guess I am using the free trial. I put Stealth in and away it went. Then dvdfab asked me to put in a bank dvd and it copied it. Works great. I came back to the forums to find out more info about the new software. What I am wondering is the difference between dvdfab and dvdfab express and why people still used shrink and decrypter with dvdfab. I think the total time to backup using dvdfab express was about 45 minutes.

nailedny,
The difference between DVDFAB Decrypter an DVDFAB Express is Express is a ripping, compression, burning program and DVDFAB Decrypter is just a ripper. One is free and one costs $. If you are happy w/ Express by all means use it

I used dvdfab decrypter and that worked but DVD Shrink still won't get it small enough to burn onto 1 disc. What do i do to get it small enough to burn.

Smitty795,
If you do movie only the movie is only 3.8 gb in size if I remember correctly after you remove all of the unwanted audio and subtitles. I just kept 5.1 in the audio and removed the rest. If you are doing the whole disk remove all of the subtitles and keep on the english on the audio. and the compression goes to 74.2. Set the Target size in Shrink to custom-4300

Smitty795,
For Movie Only- Set target size of DVD you go to EDIT> PREFERENCES> DVD TARGET SIZE to " Custom " and to the right of that set it to 4300. You will now not burn to the outer edge.

If you remove(uncheck) all of the subpictures and you remove all of the audio except AC3 5.1 English the movie only size is 3805mb. Now there is no compression doing Movie Only

@Smitty795

As Car.Mike is explaining, maybe this will help you out.

To set shrink size go to Edit>Preferences and you will get this screen:

Click the down arrow and select Custom

Type in 4300 where the mouse cursor is pointing:

Now shrink will compress to fit within those parameters and not burn too close to the edge of the media.

Cheers.

I have been seeing alot on dvdfab decrypter, and when I wanted to burn this copy my DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter just did not get past the errors message. Even with AnyDVD in the background. So I tried the dvdfab decrypter and bingo it worked. I was a bit worried but this program does the trick and its easy.

Thanks for all the hype on dvdfab decrypter, it made things real easy.

To burn or not to burn, there is no question.

Hi everybody,

I must say before I use the excellent "DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0" to make the backup of my DVD. But I have hear unfortunatly that the guy who create this program received lawyer of rich companies on his home and tell him stop all or they will put him at prison.

So PLEASE creator of "DVDFab Decrypter" or any WONDERFUL program like that: NEVER give your email, your address, any of you personal information to ANYBODY. Trust ANYBODY on internet.

And use all time "Hide IP" and other things like that. So bad rich can't find you.

GIVE ANY INFORMATION about YOU and TRUST ANYBODY !

Now about "Stealth" movie. I try like all time with "DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0" and it's not work.

But I follow what "Deline" say and so I use "DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.5.2" and ALL WORK good and fast. I think it take around 5-10 min to copy my "Steath" DVD on my hard drive.

But some of you can say WHY copy your own DVD. Well I don't want use my original stuff. Cause in 20 years I want be able to watch this movie again. So using copy it's good. Cause if I have something wrong I can make a second copy of my original.

And NO I don't sell cheaply my DVD and neither I give copy on it.

But I think RIAA or idiot organization like that must put their price lower, ask them to be honest. So people will buy DVD at $US 2.00. And RIAA and other rich will continue to make money cause DVD cost is $US 0.01 for them.

Rich are not honest and want other be. Very stupid !

THANKS a lot for help and have a WONDERFUL day !

Ok what follow you can delete if you think it's too vulgar.
I'm sorry I can't resist and I hope you will not band me for that...

I love women. And what I prefer on them, after the face, is butts.
Man ! Have you see the butts of actress "Jessica Biel" in "Stealth" movie.
I'm sorry to be so vulgar but I would like to fuck her ass so much.
:P
sorry :(

@JaguarGod

Was this the first Ripguard skirmish? I have read on various boards that some people(Slysoft) think that it may be?

christ93 ,
Wrong Movie as they think RipGuard is on Madagascar. What is odd is AnyDVD ripped it w/ no problem. If you use Shrink on it just go to unreferenced materials an make it a still. That is the problem .vob

Did you read what James at Slysoft stated on CDFreaks?
