I used DVD Fab Decrypter with DVD 43 running in the background to rip Stealth. I'm new to this, I'm used to using DVD Shrink to rip and shrink the DVD to fit on a 4.7 gig DVD, then burn the image using Nero. Now that I sucessfully ripped Stealth, the file is 6.77 gigs. How do I shrink it. I tryed using DVD Shrink to open that image and shrink it. This message appeared "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid access to memory."

iso copied fine with DVD Shrink and AnyDVD, had trouble with all programs earlier, just to find out that the movie locked up at 1 hour and 18minutes in the DVD player... thus explaining why none of my programs would burn it... I appreciate everyone's help

You all have different DVDS it will not always work you way in another city country or even in different video stores. Don't fret, try to post your AnyDVD info and you will likely get a similar response from someone who has the same.

Malkei,So when you say different "DVD'S" do you mean different "stand-alone player's","Burners",and or different "Media" cause those three areas will cover a lot of turf...........

Hello everybody, first time I joint this forum, I've been following your discutions for quite long time. Ummm, Stealth movie, I almost gave up..but I found a last resource and it worked. I downloaded DVD Region+css free 5.9.5.8 Trial version, the sofware will run alone on your taskbar, let the sofware run alone and just open DVD Shrink.
SURPRISE !! DVD Shrink was able to analize and backup! No problems!, no errors ! Done!. I hope it work for you guys.

Yep, the region code and copyright protection is different from DVD to DVD [not all unique but there will be a few] I tried everything and eventually the simplest thing worked. Ran AnyDVD in background while using DVD Shrink. Didnt work with decrypter, FAB dvd freedvd or any other ripping software i could find [AoA etc...] I think AnyDVD is the key, basically look at your AnyDVD logs and it will let you know if it had any problems and wether or not they were corrected. If they were you should be able to rip with DVD Shrink or Decrypter. If not, another copyright cracking software may be needed or you may need to change the region codes, OR you COULD leave your region code on the CD as whatever country it is [if you were to have purchased or downloaded the movie from a different country, and change the FIRMware on your DVD player itself to read regionless. this will solve your region problems alltogether.]

Like I said earlier in this forum, I used DVD FAB decrypter and then compressed and burned with my burning software 1click dvd copy and had no problems at all, the movie plays just like the original....

I have just copied this movie using DVD Decrypter version 3.1.0.0 (yes the one from May of 2002). This is nothing new. The guide I posted before works, but I will post a newbie guide in the newbie forums shortly.

Just finished posting:

@Jaguargod

Where might we download the older version, since LUK's site is no more. I remember someone(dont know who) was collecting copies of the older versions.

This is where I got my older versions from. Remember though, the first version that can actually break this protection is 3.1.0.0, but 3.5.4.0 can also do it and prpbably rip faster as well.

This link is to the download page for 3.1.0.0, but the other versions are just below.

I apologize if this has been answered already. I backed up Stealth (movie only) with AnyDVD and Clonedvd2. There is a 55 second delay after I press play on my dvdplayer. The movie plays fine. The iso image does not wait 55 seconds for the movie to start. This is my second burn on my new Plextor Px-716A and my first burn(Star Wars III) ripped with dvddecrypter had no delay and played fine. Does anyone have an idea what I did wrong that caused a 55 second delay?

I am using Verbatim Datalife plus and burned at 4x.

I should probably mention it in the guide's thread, but yes a PDF is available. You can contact me through PM with your e-mail and it will be on its way. Also, if anyone wants to host the PDF download on their site please let me know and I will send a PDF as well.

@Chavo

You did not do anything wrong that is a blank space in the movie, that is what causes problems with copying. It does this for Bewitched, Stealth and Madagascar it is the Sony protection.

I've tried DVD43 and DVD Decrypter but it only encoded half the movie. DVDFab Decrypter won't work either! It gives me some kind of odd error

Update: Turns out I didn't have an updated-enough version of DVDFab Decrypter. All I did was set the source to the drive that "Stealth" was located on, set the target to a folder under a different drive and then rip it to my hard drive. Then I used Shrink, opened the folder I saved it under and another folder appeared in it, titled "DVD". I selected that one and Shrink burned it without a problem
