Tried running DVD Shrink against the movie 'Yes' and right near the end of the encoding process, I get an error that says "DVDShrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Programming error - exception occurred The Parameter is incorrect".
I then ran the DVD through DVD Decrypter, which ran clean, and wrote the files out to the HD. I tried running DVD Shrink again this time against the files that were created by Decrypter and got the same error as before near the end of the encoding process.
This is the first time I've seen this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Make sure you are in File mode in DVD Decrypter and have selected all files.

LOCOENG is correct in questioning if you are in file mode. That error is usually caused by ripping the DVD in .ISO mode and then you try and open the image file in Shrink. Make sure you are in File Mode and rip ALL OF THE FILES to HD

Yes I did run DVD Decrypter in file mode. That runs fine and I didn't get an error.
After starting DVD Shrink,I select 'Open files' then I select the folder that the files are in. Shrink runs almost to completion just before it errors. When I checked the temp file that Shrink creates, there is a folder full of IFO, BUF, & ISO VTS files in it.

Have you tried to re-author and just the main movie? It is possible that the bad file is in some stuff that you may not really need.
Just a thought.

Freway01,
When you process using Shrink that way there should only be .ifo,.bup and .VOB files not " IFO, BUF, & ISO VTS files

G101,
When I am compressing a DVD-9 to DVD-5 then I use the FILE Method. When I am doing DVD-9 to DVD-9 then I use DVDDecrypter to read and write the .iso image file

I've tried running Shrink against the DVD on both my WinXP and WinXP-64 machines and I get the same error whether I run Decrypter first or not. Process gets the error after completing 98% of the encoding. I tried deleting everything but the main movie and I still get the same error.
I guess Sony has done something to prevent me from making backups of my DVD's.

If it is a Sony disc then you will need DVD43 or AnyDVD running behind DVD Shrink. You can also try ripping using DVDFab Decrypter...it works the same as DVD Decrypter in File mode. By any chance did DVD Decrypter skip any files during the rip?
