Mame32 Emulation for PC (WinXP)

I just recently downloaded mame32 from the internet.
It appears to be working correctly but there are some problems when playing one or to games (Virtual Fighter 3, Tekken 3/Tag, UMK3)
Either they don't be recognised by the mame32 system or they have extremely slow frame rates and distorted sound.
I downloaded the roms from this site, [removed]
If anyone has any tips on mame32 emulation and roms, please help me out with suggestions on which sites are best for mame roms (in the lines of King of Fighters/Streetfighter, tekken 2/3/tag etc) or even which mame emulator is currently the best available (currently using mame32).

dunno if this is gunna help or not but my current computer spec is Pentium(R) 4 3.00GHZ, 512 MB, 300GB

Ah MAME, you gotta love it.
Firstly don't use MAME32 to play 3D fighters, use Zinc and get a front gui for it.
Your PC specs are perfectly fine to play those games, I suggest you use http://www.romnation.net to download roms.
As for best mame emulator it really depend son region, America tends to go with MAME32K 0.64 and Europe prefers WinKawaks 1.54.

Thanks for the info Darkhadou, MAME32K 0.64 is excellant, the good thing about is that it also plays NeoGEO game as well :) so theres no need for me 2 download a different emulator for it.
Also there's another thing i would like 2 ask, how cumz no1 on da net has fully working decent gamez such as UMK3, Tekken 3/4/5/tag etc.
When I download them,
1: they take agez because they each are about 70MB+ :( and
2: they dun even work properly, soundz screwed n sumthink wrong wiv da picture
3: hard to get good mame/neogeo roms that work properly and are good to play

Hardly anyone plays the 3D Fighters online due to extreme, and I mean EXTREEEME, lag. Not everyone has a good pc and as for the crap sound/ vision as I recommended before the answer is Zinc, get it. It specialises in emulating 3D Fighters. Games like Tekken 4 and 5 have not been emulated successfully YET. So get rid of em, you can play Tekken 3 and the SF EX games even Soul Edge on Zinc. People usually play UMK3 on the Gens emulator. If you want a list of good games/ games I've got then just ask and I'll post it :P

As for the signature, I made it myself using Photoshop, edited pics and stuff. Evil Ken and Ryu from M.U.G.E.N

If you want your picture to appear in the sig box then add these tags at the beginning and at the end of ur picture url in ur signature options box.(img) at the beginning, and at the end put (/img). Make sure to replace the brackets with [ and ]

I prefer the ArcadeHITS server and some other European servers, any that gives me low lag.. Japan is a dangerous territory *shivers*.

Put the kaillera.dll file into the mame32k directory and then open mame32k go to file or whatever, jus look for START NETPLAY and then make a username and look for some servers, if no servers come up then look around for some kaillera server I.Ps to put into the IP option box. then off you go.

My bad but Thanx for the reply dark. ok i checked my "File-->Configure Paths" and then i clicked rescan all then i hit the scan new tab but still only came up with street fighter alpha 2. the other files i downloaded were 2 sets and the alpha 2 is only one so i suspect that might have somthing to do with it but i dont know for sure. I dont even know if im supossed to empty the zip file in the roms folder or not. In any case the thing about kawaks is that i went online and ppl were saying that i should be using mame because everybody else was using that program online and not kawaks.

They shouldn't be TELLING you what to use anyway, it's just down to localisation. If you're in America/ Canada players prefer MAME. If you're in Europe (Inc. UK)people mostly use Kawaks. Pretty stupid but hey, whatever the majority uses for your area, you gotta use too. As for the roms, try downloading a few more like Alpha 3 and XmvSF to see if those work with the resacn etc method. The roms should stay in the zip file.
