Whenever I go to backup a DVD, the program exits. Help please.

Try downloading DVD Decrypter or DVDFab Decrypter. They're free downloads from this site. They can copy the DVD to your HD bypassing some encryptions Shrink cannot handle. After that you could hit load it into Shrink hitting the [Open Files] Button.

Besides that you could make sure you have the most updated DVD Shrink... 3.2.0.15
