after the film has been saves the disc drawer doesnt open for me to put the dvd+rw into and backup, why

do you have burning with Nero enabled? It's under Edit>Preferences>File I/O.

I don't really know what you are talking about. My disc tray never opens. I'm assuming that you only have one drive? I don't see an option in shrink for an automatic tray open.

thevision, What happened is your "Backup Target" got changed some how. You need to do two things, enable Nero and select your burner as the backup target.
