Dvd Shrink freezes my computer

I have tried to use dvd shrink to open dvd discs but it is causing my computer to freeze up everytime. This didn't happen in the past. I use to have DVD43. I now replaced that with AnyDVD by Slysoft. I have Nero, Copy to DVD, DVD Decrypter, 1 Click Copy and Sonic. What do I do?

What kind of system do you have and how much memory?

Do not multitask when using shrink as it uses almost all CPU resourses.

I have an HP desk top. It has 160GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA hard drive, 512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM memory with 3.20GHZ and ATI RADEON 9200SE AGP 8X graphics card with 128MB DDR video memory and tv out. I don't pretend to know what all this means. So I need some help understanding what is happening and what to do.

What else are you trying to do at the same time? I did answer your PM a little bit ago.

512mb ram is the minimum that I would recommend. You will notice significant improvement in computer performance with another 512mb upgrade.

Even the drive requires a certain amount of RAM memory to function properly. My drive recommends 512mb in the system specs.
