Hi folks,
I have searched and searched the Internet for someone to tell me how to fix my problem and I came across your thread.
I was having a FREEZING problem with DVD43 version 3.5 and even earlier versions ... on some DVDs it would Freeze and I could not even shut-down tha application ... each time I had to Reboot. Well, I located the latest version (3.7) and installed it ... as the instruction said ... uninstall the old version and reboot and then install the new version and reboot again. In my Stupidity, I tried to see if this version would have Freezing problem with one of my KNOWN problem DVD that it makes the DVD43 freeze up (go figure!) ... it sure as heck it forze my DVD43 ... so as usual I hard power down ... becuase even my Windows XP Professional, SP 2 is not permitted to go into a SAFE Shut-down mode ... I don't know why. so, I SHUT-DOWN using my Power button on my desktop ... came back up and guess what my PALM PILOT DESKTOP ".DAT" files got clubberd and I could not open the Palm Desktop application ... I went to Palm and upgraded from Veriosn 3.0 to 4.1 ... it allowed me to open up my Palm Desktop ... but I CAN NOT RESTORE MY ".DAT" file.
Q1: Has anybody heard of sucha problem?
Q2: How can I FIX my bad .DAT files??? I have a lot of GOOD Info and Data that I DO NOT have back-up for them!
Q3: Is there a Forum that deal with this problem of mine? I could not find one!!!
