Seems I'm older than I thot because lately I've been having problems with Shrink. When a movie has both WS and 4.3 formats and I only want to use one; how do I exclude the other in a full disc back-up?

DVDShrink is outdated. I think they stopped all support so for all new movies you're going to run into more problems.

DVD Shrink is still a very good program though no longer updated - use re-author mode to choose main movie only and select the format you want.

In the reauthor mode you can drag the individual titles over and view them in preview. Then you know what you have before burning.

Shrink is excellent.

For those movies that have wide and full screen versions, it's quite easy to do a full disc backup. First resize the preview panel a bit larger and make sure it's fairly square to make it easier to tell which is the one you want. To figure out which one, just click on one to highlight it and click play in the preview panel. Click the other and then compare. Once you've figured out which one you DON'T want, then click and highlight it. Go over to the right where it says compression AUTOMATIC and open the dropdown menu to select INSERT STILL IMAGE. Once you do this then you'll probably find that it will fit on a DVD5 with little to no compression. There have been a few that this wouldn't work on. In these cases both versions are interlaced. The main movie appears as one file in full disc mode and two in reathor mode.

Now the default still image in Shrink is a bit Blah!. So if you want some that are a bit better, then go here...
