What does vobblanker do that Shrink doesn't?

I use Shrink and reauthor only the main film - removing everything else. Am I missing anything by not using vobblanker?

By using VobBlanker, you can actually keep the main menu and still have a movie only DVD. The menu is good for using scene selection and such.

However, when using VobBlanker make sure you also blank out all of the FBI Warnings and such which usually reside in VIDEO_TS.VOB.

I recently did Fantastic Four and backed it up with no compression and the main menu. I used VobBlanker to blank out everything and also the ending credits which are about 7 minutes 30 seconds long.

When using it together with DVD Shrink, you get the best results since you can reduce movies to barely over 4.37GB. Then you only need to compress about 90 - 95% with Shrink so it is faster and better quality.

However, if you want a movie that is play only with no menu, then VobBlanker is not needed.
