No, I haven't. Do you get any type of error message?

no type of error message at all, it just says writing lead in at the bottom left corner of decrypt and the time counter continues to roll but it never starts to actually burn. I have done many backups before and never encountered this problem.

No, I've never experienced that kind of problem before. Why don't you try to uninstall DVD Decrypter and reinstall it again, then give it another shot.
By the way, The Island has no special protections whatsoever. I ripped it with DVD Decrypter via Mode, File F successfully, encoded with Nero Recode2 with "Advanced Analysis" and burned it with Nero Burning Rom.

Try the following settings inside DVD Decrypter in prior to the ripping process. That's what I have mine set and I can rip nearly 99% of the movies flawlessly.
*NOTE: in prior to the ripping part, let?s tweak/set a few settings inside DVD Decrypter*
** open up DVD Decrypter, go to Tools, and Settings
** at General on ?Removal Method? arrow down to ?Aggressive?
** at I/O, check ?Ignore Read Errors?
** at ?File Mode? check on all of the Remove, Ignore, Patch and Create MDS file.
** at CSS check ?Brute Force -->I/O key exchange,
On Failure: use key from another file [YES]
** at ?ISO Read Mode? check on all Remove and Create MDS file
Once you?re done with the settings, click OK to get out from the settings.
Happy burning!!!

You're welcome. Like ddp said; "teach and learn". I primarily used my method of settings as shown above on DVD Decrypter when ripping using Mode, File F and nearly 99% of the times, DVD Decrypter will rip it flawlessly.
