The last 5 movie copies using Shrink & Decrypter will read only through
Nero Showtime, and NOT with Power DVD or my Magnavox MDV 455
Movies copied with DVD X Copy all still play fine.
I prefer not to RE-COPY these onto new discs using DVD X Copy just so my Magnavox player will play them.
Any ideas or solutions appreciated ...
I use XP pro, 512 ram, Samsung burner

What kind of media are you using? What speed are you burning at? Are you putting paper labels on them?
If you are using DVD+R media try booktyping them to DVD-ROM in DVDdecrypter before you burn.

@milly8
Here is how to booktype in DVDdecrypter:
Bit setting in DVDdecrypter will change the format of your DVD+R media to DVD-ROM which will make it more playable in standalone DVD players. Follow the following images through the sequence. (Remember to have blank media in the drive)
Click tools>drive>Change book type
Or instead of the above you could do this:
At the next window you select the drive tab that identifies your burner:
Here you select the media type that you want to book type.
Now you select the change that you want to make, in this case change to DVD-ROM
Click on the change button and you will get the success screen!
Click OK and you are good to go. Remember this will NOT work for DVD-R media.
This setting should remain in effect until you shut down your computer. I also perform this process prior to burning a backup in CloneDVD2 and it works!

It is a TSH 55 TU Samsung TSST DVD burner
I had to return my LiteOn dvd burner because it was making a series of coasters. (The shop replaced it with an AOpen (by Acer), but I have not installed it.)
since installing the Samsung, that problem has stopped mostly.

9mm -- My Magnavox has always played both + & - DVDs, so I doubt it is that. But please educate me if I am wrong.

How will adding firmware help?
The Samsung burner worked from the install,
but as I say above, SOMETHING is making it
not read by PowerDVD & my Magnavox external player.
