im trying to shrink a dvd but when i select the files so they can compress they are as follows (a4e)s-cry-ed_01(divx.5.05).ogm when i try to open the files in question it says encountered and error and cannot continue, failed to open file xxxxxx the system cannot find the file specified. ive even tryed opening them in other dvd copying programs and they all have problems opening or makeing the files work so i can brun them on a disk. I DL these files and they are on my HD and i dont have a source disk for them. wondering if thats my problem but i dont know hopeing someone knows what im talking about. sorry couldnt find anything that would help me in the guides yes im a dumb noob.

Shrink is not the correct program for any tyoe of downloaded files!

You should try VSO's DivXtoDVD2

VSO does not distribute the free version anymore, but I do:

http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup.zip

I tried it a few times but it was slow. I ended buying the regestered version. It was twice as fast:

Thanks im greatful for the help but now when I try to convert the files it says ( at least one file cant be converted check log for more details) i check log and its says at the end of the file name that (the file is unsupported or not a A/V file). sorry again this is starting to bumb me out lol. thanks if you can help
