What exactly is the problem....Is something wrong with your PC? Your DVD ROM, your burner? At what point does the problem appear? Do you get any error messages? What kind of media are you using?

I/WE need to buy this before I/WE can see what the problem is. Wedding Crashers will be out Tuesday the 3rd. What country are you in? It would be nice to know some of the release dates for new movies outside the United States.

Okay, so you've ripped and burned it.... but have you watched it???
Those of you who THINK you've backed up Wedding Crashers "perfectly" should take a good look at chapter 10... If you get through chapter 10 without a glitch (congrats)...

AnyDVD finds nothing wrong in Wedding Crashers, yet CloneDVD aborts due to a redundancy error caused by a rather sophisticated block of Bad Sectors that AnyDVD fails to detect...

DVDFab decrypter SLOWLY works this out... Followed by DVDFab express or CloneDVD, and you have a slightly flawed, but working back up...

P/S: My Mac detected the Bad sector and watched it morph for about 40 minutes before continuing.... the result was not good...

I was able to what appears to be a successful back up, using Platinum with Any DVD running in the back ground. Still have to check back up though. Also used DVD Fab Decrypter and attempted to use VOB Blanker ( Most Current Version ) and get this message:

There are atleast 1 ILV cell.
The VTSs containing these cells have been marked as SKIP.
You can process them, but playback problems can appear in all PGCs originally containing ILV cells except the first one.

The ILVs cannot be skipped or I think you will not have a good backup. I processed all and here is the log. It appears that there were some fixes made with VOB Blanker. I'm still kind of new with the program, so bare with me.

Has anyone watched their backup?
Version 2.0.1.0. Starting new process:

I'm crossing my fingers with this one, but Platinum did appear to go ok with ANY DVD running, but there are several unreferenced cells that should be balnked so make the call and choose your program wisely..by the way in FL. movies have been released on Fridays due to Holidays. Atleast thats what the clerks are stating :)

Does anyone know what the ILV cells are? Maybe a dumb question, but I've never ran across this using VOB Blanker before.

Hey PCDAD...
My point simply was that the Mac allowed me to observe the quicksand like effect this particular bad sector has on most rippers..

I didn't get that sort of info from my PC... That's why I and other PC users make the mistake of thinking our rippers are freezing when infact they are slowly trying to work their way out..

For those who have an untested Wedding Crashers back up...
If you kept MENUS the first thing you want to check is Chapter navigation... If you can skip from chapter to chapter without freezing, your off to a good start.. next, watch Chapter 10, if you you survive chapter 10 you should be fine...

slysoft - Clone dvd2 has recently put out a new version Jan.1/06 which has fixed the bugs which have been messing up the encryption of movies like wedding crashers. It worked fine for me and then burned with nero.

@veezaye

Just cause it dont work for you doesnt mean other people cant copy it, I did it just with AnyDVD and Shrink and it came out fine, ran it through DVD INFO and there are no read errors or anything, I just watched it to and it fine, so maybe it your setup that is causing the problems

OK, I got Wedding Crashers this morning - figured today would be my day to purchase AnyDVD! But, I tried it the normal way - DVD Shrink
(V 3.1.7.6) normal set up - worked with no problem. And the whole movie and menu system works and extras. Oh Well! Try "The Gospel"... There you will get problems.

I'm in process of testing 2 different copies, 1 with AnyDVD and Platinum - works but dragged in 2 different parts of the 4th and 5th chapters. This DVD player never glitches or anything.... 2nd one was ripped with dvd FAB DECRYPTER and then used VOB BLANKER processed all and used shrink to encode and decrypter to burn - the 4th chapter has a part that loops back into it's self and double plays a scene, i did full disc so I'm going to try just using fab decrypter and shrink pulling only the movie.
