well after 2 1/2 hours of this crap software doing whatevery it was doing the movie did not burn correctly ... what a load of crap this software is ... the absolute worst i have ever used

I just finished watching the entire movie and it was flawless.
If you do movie only, use title 1 which is widescreen. Only check 5.1 audio and you will have no problems.
I used AnyDVD in the background with Nero Recode2 which was created by the same person that created DVD Shrink.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result. So if you are having problems, then may I suggest you try this combination? It works!
By the way... It was great!

can you tell me how to use Nero Recode to compress it? .. i have never used that method before ... i was going to use Clone DVD but id rather use Nero so its less i have to download .. thanks for the help im ready to put my fist throught the monitor

works with DVD Shrink by itself there is a problem with fab decrepter putting the main movie in the unreferced matrial folder

Is there anyway that recode 2 can be installed without the Nero bundle? I'm not a real fan of Nero with duplication due to errors on certain DVD players, that never occurred using ROXIO disc copier. ( HAD A LOT OF REBURNS... Know what I mean?) They worked fine on my players just not for some friend$ :) I love the recode 2 and that is the only reason I bought the Nero suite. If anyone can confirm that it can be installed without Nero, please lead me on the way.

Actually the majority of forum threads and opinions here on aD will say the reverse when it comes to comparing Nero with Roxio. Many have to go through special removal programs to clean their system from the Roxio drivers. Do some searching here on aD and maybe you to will convert to Nero 100%. :)

@scubabud -Thanks for the quick reply. I was really sold on the Nero app. when I purchased it and had a freshly formatted HD / installed OS when I used Nero, but I make movies consistently!! and had 3 different users return 5-20 each, it was a nightmare that I didn't have to go through so I went back to what was working for me and them. I did have one friend go out and purchase a new DVD player and that did work with Nero back up copies, but I wouldn't ask that everyone do that. Like I say they all worked great for me on 2 seperate players.

I think I will try and give Nero another chance later down the road, but I'm very hesitant after these issues.

Sorry I have been absent for a while, but I backed up Wedding Crahers with Recode 2 and CloneDVD 2 and both played fine, even after chapter 10. I always have AnyDVD running in the background, but didn't encounter a problem with this movie using these programs.

hey all, Im in the process of backing up wedding crashers "uncorked" since it has both versions of the movie on the same disk is it possible to seperate them so i can put the unrated on one DVD+R and the theatrcial version on another DVD???

Yes, just use shrink or recode 2 and reauthor and drag the appropriate rated and unrated version over to analyze, encode and then burn. I have used both progs. to accomplish this with other movies and worked flawlessly.

Actually with recode 2 I use the remake the dvd. I first analyze the entire disk, then go back and remake dvd...you come to a screen that allows you to pick which version or aspect ratio you want...simply drag and begin process. Hope this helps

I dont have recode,but in shrink i see two titles one is 2hrs and 6min and the other is 1hr 58min????? kind of silly for 8 xtra minutes.

Strainge how some movies burn fine for some folks but not for others when using the very same software tools [anydvd running, DVD shrink, Nero, etc.] Wedding Crashers burned fine for me w/AnyDVD running, DVD shrink then burned thru DVD Decrypter... Just checked the burn and no glitches another fellah noted as having..
However Crash is another story. DVD shrink wouldn't even attempt to preview it and DVD FabDecrypter did decrypt it to the hard drive, BUT the files refuse to compress on both DVD Shrink or DVD Clone... aside from being 'out of proper order.' As mentioned above, DVD FabDecrypter puts first 3/4 of the movie in 'unreferenced material'. Crash yet another Sony Pictures attempt at making it very difficult to burn any 'backups'.

If you really want to burn the wedding crasher uncorked and other Sony movies I can HELP you via email only. I don't see any other real help OR people posting thier sucesses here.....

DVD Decrypter, dvdshrink, burn with Nero.
Unrated version. Movie Only, 5.1 sound, english subtitles, 96% compression. Cut out most of the credits at the end. Watched it. Clean...no errors. Hope this helps.

i had a problem also decrypting wedding crashers using DVD Decrypter. So i went back and decrypt it as a file and had no problem i an now shrinking it with DVD Shrink and so far no problem...fingers crossed
