Since DVDShrink is no longer updated perhaps trying a different program i.e. DVDFabDecrypter29 (no longer available in afterdown but still around in other sites) will take care of your problem.
Good luck!

I know the feeling. I recently change to comcast cable just for that reason. I would only ever connect via dial up at 24600kbs. Pitifully slow.
What a difference cable has made.
Maybe consider going to a library and download to a jump drive, just an idea.

if you're having no Nero problems then leave it be; i myself stuck with 6.6.0.6 for absolutely ages with zero issues..

i use 6.x and have been keeping it updated for some time, though i only use Burning Rom so had no need to update mine, i only do straight dvd burns, audio and data cd's so don't need all the other bits of Nero anyway. i just stuck with it as i been into Nero since way back in version 5.5.x.x

@Phantom69
I don't have Nero at all. Well, that's not exactly true, I have Nero 4, but have not installed it cause I fear compatibility issues with WinXP.
I just use imgburn or CloneDVD to do my burning now.

it comes with a toolbar for internet explorer, but that is no problem, scan if its spyware (pretty sure it isn't, just a toolbar) its a search bar, what i did was delete the remove the toolbar from the BHO list and remove the toolbar folder from program files and Burn4Free still works fine...
link:
http://www.burn4free.com/
its either this software or even better:
DeepBurner Free:
http://www.deepburner.com/
but what trumps them all is CD Burner XP:
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
CD Burner XP i think is the best...
they are free and support image files data music and all that so why not...
