I'm trying to use DVD Shrink to backup a movie. For the first time ever I am gettng an error that says:

"DVD SHRink encounter an error and cannot continue. Invalid DVD Navigation structure."

I get this error when I try to use the open disk function. I backup a lot of dvds and never got this error. anyone know how to fix this?

If this is a newer DVD then you may be encountering structure protection, which Shrink can't cope with. Try one of these programs to get around it.

DVDFab Decrypter
Use this to rip the movie to your HD then open the results in Shrink using "Open Files":

AnyDVD, this is what I use:

AnyDVD is a potent driver that runs in the background. All DVDs and CDs will appear to other programs as unencrypted. You don't need to open AnyDVD once it is installed on your PC. Just open the DVD in Shrink. It will appear to Shrink as unencrypted.

They have a 21 day free trial and Afterdawn members usually get a discount of some sort. I don't know if that is still in effect though.

You could also download DVD43 which is a free driver that runs in the background if money is an issue. It is not updated quite a regularly as AnyDVD, but will handle most of the encryptions out there today.
