Hey i have been using dvd shrink for a while now with win xp pro and just recently after formating i have been having a proble. After analysing is complete i hit back up and the program closes! anyone have any ideas?

Has anyone had the problem of burning a dvd and at the end where it is writing the lead in and lead out the program freezes and then get the error message that the movie didn't sucessfully burn to completion? I use DVD Decrypter and dvdshrink. I have Nero as my burning program. I have uninstalled all of the programs and reinstalled them from different and updated links. My burner is ok\nly 8 months old. I have done many many of movies, but I can't get a movie to completely burn now and I do have all the updated software. I have wasted at least 15 dvds because of this and they do get expensive. Any help will be appreciated.

I have gotten that message as well.

I noticed though that if it freezes at "writing lead out," that the disc still works in my DVD player!!!

Make sure that the firmware version is up to date on your burner. You can check it here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php

See if that helps, and if it doesn't post a Nero burn log for us to look at.

DVD Shrink closes just after analysis, or while dragging titles to the "New DVD" panel.

This is a known DVD Shrink ver 2.3 bug.

Possible Solution:

Turn the automatic video preview off.

"Edit" >> "Preferences" >> uncheck "Play video preview whenever selection changes".

Did not try myself yet. Reloading did not help.

Following a suggeston from another site, I unchecked "BURN WITH NERO"
this fixed the issue.
After downloading Nero 7, I was able to check "BURN WITH NERO" and still have Shrink work.
Short story is shrink 3.2 needed a updated Nero.
