Probably more media related than program related. Please give us a lot more of the specifics of your "DVD burning routine".

Basically I'm using Shrink with Nero 6. In most cases I let Shirk to everything. I use mostly fuji -R and +R, also used Benq and a few memorex.

I try to make a complete DVD, Special Features, Menu's etc.

If it's a playback issue then it's probably do to 1) Media or 2) Burn Speed

Fugi's are ok if they are made in Japan if they are made in Taiwan then don't use them, memorex stay away from at all costs! It's one of the worst media's out there. Try and stick with TY's, Verbaitum's and Sony's.

Please download "DVD Identifier" (Link in my sig) and put in a fuji disc and post back the results.

As for burn speed, try and keep it at 4x or less. If you burn to fast then you'll get a movie that skips and freezes alot.

Will the discs play at all or do the skip/freeze?
What make and model of burner are you using?
Is your burner's firmware up to date?
Does your burner support booktyping?

If your burner supports booktyping/bitsetting, use DVD+R media and booktype it to DVD-ROM. That should offer you maximum compatability with stand alone DVD players.

Note that in DVD shrink the set booktype to DVD-ROM should be checked. If it's grayed out and you are unable to check it, chances are your burner does not support booktyping.

Please let us know the details of your burner, and I'm sure some of the senior members here will weigh in on your problem.

...let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"
