Cannot Fast Forward or Rewind DL Disc burned with DVD Shrink

I recently encoded "Wedding Crashers" and "In Cold Blood (1963)"; on separate Memorex DVD+R 8.5 GB DL Discs with NO Compression using DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15. Burned with Nero. Everything plays fine, but, I am not able to Fast Forward or Rewind. When I try, it skips to the next or previous track. What did I do wrong?

Also, while encoding and burning, 'Run backup in low priority' was NOT checked and no other programs were running.

Rewinding a DVD...hmmmmm....:-}

Maybe low battery power in remote???

Using Memorex media for a start is not a great idea - these media are generally of very poor quality.

Thank you both. I know its not the remote, because the original copies re-wind and fast forward just fine. I am currently attempting to re-burn on a Verbatim disc and see if that does the trick.

You should try using Decrypter for your DL backups. There are other options in shrink you have to adjust when you choose to backup on a DL disc. Plus using a compression program to make a DL backup doesn't seem logical. Using Decrypter's ISO Read and ISO Write modes will give you an exact copy of the entire disc(minus the copy protections) without the need to re-establish the proper point for the layer break. I've also been using the ISO write feature in ImgBurn after I rip with Decrypter since the burn engine is being updated and Decrypter is not. I would also suggest using Verbatim DL discs over the ones your using now for 2 reasons. One, the price and two verbatim DL discs have been around longer and seem to be the most compatible with the majority of burners. BestBuy has the Verb 10pks on sale for $20 right now. Good luck.

I will try Decrypter and ImgBurn. When I used DVDShrink; I DID NOT turn on the Compression.

To start, try burning at 2.4x.(just to be safe)
