hey

I have used dvd shrink to encode all my dvd's and nero 6 express to burn them and had no problems until now. What i was wondering if you have 100% video quality in re-author option for the main video file is it needed at all to deep analysis the dvd? I was wondering this because i have be playing them in my playstation 2 and now its skipping i have a GSA-4163B burner and using memorex dvd+r [rw] with the blue bottom and silver top.

i only use deep analysis if im compressing 10% or more. I don't think it even runs the deep analysis if your not compressing at all. Second, the skipping problems are most likely caused by the memorex media, which many people would agree, is not very good.

they should. You should also look into seeing if your burner supports booktyping, if you can booktype your movies to dvd-rom (i think), they will be compatible with tons of players.

*NOTE: your burner has to support "book type" or "bitsettings" in order for you to successfully book type any of your DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL into DVD-ROM format. And yes.... DVD-ROM is the best (universal) dvd format, as a matter of fact, all original dvd movies and ps2 games are pressed as DVD-ROM.

*NOTE: If you have the following set to "Automatic", then whenever you use Nero Express (for PS2 games or dvd movies), Nero Burning Rom (for dvd movies or PS2 games) Nero Recode 2 & Nero Vision (for dvd movies) to burn, all your backups will automatically set the ?Book Type? to DVD-ROM if you?re using a DVD+R, DVD+RW or DVD+R DL media. That is... if your dvd burner is capable of book typing.

((Here's how to set the "Book Type" or "Bitsetting" using Nero Burning Rom by Alkohol)) **NOTE: this is just the settings only, it will work even if you burn your PS2 games with Nero Express, it will automatically "Book Type" your DVD+R into DVD-ROM when you're burning with Nero Express.

01) open up Nero StartSmart, then click on Nero Burning Rom
02) EXIT out the "New Compilation" when it pops up
03) click on "Chooses A Recorder" (it's a small burner icon next to (I) and the arrow down)
04) click on ?Options," then on "Book Type Settings," set to "Automatic" and click "OK" - that's it... easy as smoking. Now every time when you burn using a DVD+R, DVD+RW or DVD+R DL disc, Nero will ?automatically? change the Book Type into a DVD-ROM format.

Here is a guide on how to "book type" via DVD Decrypter. This is when you're "ready" to burn to the blank media (DVD+R DL, DVD+R, DVD+RW) only. NOTE: set both of your "source" and "destination" ready, then do the following and burn it. If for some reason the (DVD+R/DVD+R DL) doesn't work for you, then try the (DVD+R/DVD+RW/DVD+R DL - EEPROM!), it should work, if you have one of the drives that DVD Decrypter listed).

Enjoy it, live and learn.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
