Out of all these programs, which do you think is the best? (price doesn't matter) and why? What does one have that the other one doesn't have. And which do you use?

I think that shrink is the best because it is for free and it does exactily the same as others with the same quality.To backup i use dvdfabdecrypter,AnyDVD,shrink and ImgBurn.I dint think there is a point on payin for software if there is other for free and works the same.The only one paid for and in my opinion it worths every penny is AnyDVD.Thats the best to break the encryption.

shrink is as good as the others in terms of quality but if you are willing to spend some $$$, get clonedvd2, it is really a great program.

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

I have dvd2 and i used it once.Not keen on it as the others.But it is a good program.But if money is not an issue at all go for it.

whats the diff between dvdshrink and CloneDVD 2.
lets say they are both free ,which one is the better software..remember where saying there both free

Shrink gives two options. One to shrink with all the menus and extras including previews etc. or secondly to re-author with movie only. CloneDVD2 gives options of removing advents, FBI warnings etc while maintaining menu chapter selections.
One more item is that if use vobBlanker before using shrink can remove those troubling advents etc. and end up with what one gets with CloneDVD2.
Assuming both were free I would stick with Shrink/vobBlanker combo as still the best all round tools. That being said I own AnyDVD/CloneDVD2 combo and use it as well so really giving you an ambiguous message here. It all gets down what rings your bell, what you find the easiest to use, gives the best results and what you want or don't want on your backup.

Look for threads from alkohol on vobBlanker. He contends using vobBlanker/Shrink with free decrytion tools he has been able to backup any DVD despite encyptions on newer DVDs. So far I have tried it and appears he is right. He also gives specifics on a lot of individual DVDs getting rid of advents and warnings. He must not have a life given the time he devotes to helping the less knowledgeable, but MORE POWER TO HIM and our undying gratitude!

i think DVD Shrink is better, most of all, it is for free !
In addition ,its quality is good :)
