Hello, when using shrink, it analyses fine, encodes the dvd to hd, then normally it used to open drive and ask for the blank disk, now it is saying that the movie has been saved to my selected path (hd)and that is ready for burning later, it wont proceed to open the drive to let the blank in vertually. when opened again, does same thing, another copy of dvd in folder with the same message pop up (saved to hd for burn later) I have uninstalled and reinstalled shrink. have ajusted settings as per shrink help (doom 9 guide) and have uninstalled and reinstalled nero (ver.6)

this is happening with all dvds i try to copy now
using pioneer 16x dvd dual layer burner
it is not asking for blank media but i use dvd-r 4.7gb Excel that has been fine for 250 burns so far.

any info with this prob will be a great help. :(have dvds that need to go back tomorrow:(
Thanks Heaps.
Macey

Macey, Have you changed the autoburn settings in shrink?
Shrink can autoburn in any one of two ways:

1)Burn with decrypter (DVDdecrypter must be installed to use this)
2)Burn with nero (nero must be installed to use this)

If autoburning with decrypter, when the backup option is chosen, choose to save target as "ISO image file and burn with dvddecrypter".

If autoburning with nero, when the backup option is chosen, choose to save target as "file folder". Make sure you have the burn with nero option checked in the File I/O section when accessing shrink's preferences. You can also choose to save target as "ISO image file", here also make sure you have the burn with nero option checked in the File I/O section when accessing shrink's preferences.

Here's a pic of what your backup target setting should be for DVD Shrink just like johnl123 posted. John is right on the money on this one.The pic may help:

The red circle is for burning with Nero-with a checkmark.Make sure you have the correct DVD-RW drive listed in that setting.

The greeen circle is for burning with DVD Decrypter-it'll be checkmarked.

Also double check:
Edit/preferences/file I/O: If burning with Nero, tick that box. If using DVD Decrypter-untick that box. Dvd shrink's default setting is usually set for that box to be ticked-Enable burn with Nero.
