Very simple:
Dvd decrypter- Mode ISO read to hard drive
Mode ISO write/locate mds files and burn.
Or:
Dvd decrypter- Mode ISO read to hard drive
IMGburn- locate mds files and burn.
Be cautious of using Nero for dl backups.Nero6 does have an issue with the layer break.

Is it alright if I use Alcohol 120% Corporate Edition v1.9.5.3105? Or what is your best recommended software?

Hey saugmon :) I can't thank you enough for your recommendation of the BenQ's!
@ae86akina
If you feel more comfortable get AnyDVD which will run in the background and use Nero Recode2 for a full 1 to 1 if you wish.

ae86akina: After DVD Decrypter rips or burns,it should have a tune that blares out at the end-for success. I use that on my very limited backup pc with 598 mhz celeron and that alarm is very noisy because I can't adjust the volume on it.
You may have yours-volume- turned way down,or that alarm is disabled.

You can't make an iso file of a DVD9 and and put on a DVD5 without shrinking it first with dvdshrink or recode 2. i have afeeling that is your problem.

i think u misunderstood me....i want DVD9 1:1 copy without shrinking it onto DVD5
this is wat i did:
1) make image of DVD9 movie
2) after successfully made image, burn image thru DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120%, Nero (these r the 3 that i use but it always froze during playback on DVD player)

You have to shrink it to fit. A DVD9 disc is too large to fit to a DVD5 discs. DVD9 is an 8.5 gig while DVD5 is 4.7 gig.
So you have to shrink or compress the contents to fit.
DVD Decrypter and Alchol just rips and burns, they do not shrink.

LOL,...I think it has something to do with the layer break,so you need to use DVD Decrypter which processes layer breaks better than most other programs that I know of.

If you want to put this on a dual layer disc, go to this site. Scroll down to the instructions. PDF format, real nice. Remember you need a dual layer burner to do this.

Quote: it....sure is a LONG PROCESS
It is only ISO read and then ISO write. The process takes about 45 to 50 minutes. You first must rip your file and then about 30 or 40 minutes to write to a dual layer disk. Remember to burn at 2.4x for less chance of errors.

Why are you using the SadSac guide that is if you want to split your movie to two disks keeping a menu functional on both. You can do this with CloneDVD a lot easier.
