Hey, ive used DVD Shrink for ages now and have never had a problem with it, now randomly its become very slow...so slow that i cant use it - it states that it will take 12 hours to create a full back up. Anyone know why this is?

it isnt anything to do with RAM because i havnt got anything else running and i have 1 GB of it. I dont understand why its doing this, everything else on my computer runs perfectly fine including DVD Decrypter.

Help! lol

Thanks
Dan

The first thing I always ask is, are all your drives set for DMA mode, if not make sure they are.

Here is how...
http://www.onthegosoft.com/dma_setting_nt.htm

Make sure the disk is clean, a dirty disk will slow things down.

Since you state you have plenty of memory (1GB is plenty) and I'm sure your processor speed is adequate, are you running low on hard drive space? If so, get rid of anything you don't need to freeup space.

Make sure shrink isn't running in low priority mode.
Your quality settings can also slow things down (ex. sharp setting).
Make sure the pc is free of spyware (use spybot S&D).
Shrink can be very CPU intensive, problems can occur if your processor is getting to hot, check to make sure all the fans are spinning freely especially the processor's fan.
