has anyone tried the link at the top of the page that free dvd shrink 2006? is this an update for shrink or what and it is not free because they ask for a credit card. if anyone has tried it let us know if it will encode new dvds and if it is really free
DVD Shrink has always been free and should always be free. If they're asking for your credit card information, then they're trying to scam you. If you give them your credit card information, they'll pass that information onto other sources and you'll be hit with all kinds of spam. DVD Shrink is no longer being updated, so there is no DVD Shrink 2006.
that is what i thought i check afterdawn everyday and thought it might be something new that just hit. i thought the guy that wrote shrink went to Nero and wrote Nero recode. and will Nero recode do what shrink will remove copyright?
Actually there is a German Shrink 3.2.0.16 which is just like .15 except that it is DeCSS free so pretty much useless for ripping. I guess you could use it with AnyDVD etc.
