Hi everyone ,
Did a search but did not find a resolution to my query .. Ripped Lord of War with DvDD ,ran it thru VobBlanker& got menu error at 89% ..
Ripped dvd with DvDFabDecryptor 2.7.0.0 , ran it thru VobBlanker ie; input-output- process ( no errors this time ) then re-authored using Shrink .
My question is , did i need this extra step with VobB ( appox 15 min and 7GB HD space ) or not ? What did VobBlanker do since i did not select any vob files to blank ? Just wondering if i needed that extra step ?
I have not tried myself to skip this step as after appox 3hrs tried to b/up my copy of L-O-W ..

Hey,

The point about using VobBlanker is for removing crap that movie editors put in the dvd. If you dont blank anything in vobblanker, then your doing this for nothing. You need to watch each VOB track and then click blank to remove what you dont want such as fbi and copyright message, etc...

Thanks flyboy04 for the clarification on VOB Blanker.. shrink in re-author mode takes care of the "crap" ie:warnings , so using VobB
the way i was , no reason to go this extra step ..
Everyday is a learning day ..

hey all, it helped me a lot i had few music dvds from masters that i couldnt edit VOBs (it had protection or locked) for 1 year but acedently i found VOBBLANKER and my life became much easyer.

is there any sort of guide on how to use its options in advanced level, i mean i understand so dar only 30% of what it offers to me?

I am new to VOBblanker, but according to Alkohol in this thread

"...if you don't know what/where to BLANK, then all you need to do is click on PROCESS..."

He states elsewhere in the same write-up that VOBblanker will find all the fake cells that might exist and remove them.
