He is what I am trying to do. I read a "suggestion" to run DVD Decrypter to get one of my DVD's on my hard drive *before* DVD Shrink. That works fine on both programs. Now I want to put the shrunk version on a DVD. I can not seem to get it to burn on DVD, it just wants to "shrink" it back on the HD. Do I need to burn it with Nero or something like that? And if so, would it be done as a "data" disc?
Thanks

set your target device as your burner whether it be drive d or e instead of your hardrive and if you have Nero it will burn automatically.

I have done that but it did not burn to the drive. I set it to F and I got some sort of error message. I'll try again to see if i just did something stupid. Blank DVD was in the recorder and I can not remember the esxact error message. I'll do it again and see.
Thanks!

As you have DVD Decrypter on your PC, in the target device, select the option to create image file and burn with Decrypter. I have found that this works 100% of the time, and you also have an image on your PC if you need to burn another.

Sorry to be a pain. Could you get a little more specific? I'm only on my first week or so doing this.

AlanK,
In Shrink go to > EDIT> Preferences> File I/O> make sure "enable burning w/ Nero" has a check mark there. Now you will be able to see the DVD burner drive when you try to back the DVD up

There is a step by step guide with pictures in my signature for DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink. Follow that and you will have a perfect backup.
Cheers.

Hi,
I have just started using shrink, with DVDfab for decrypting it, I decrypted the DVD, then once it was on my hard drive, opened it in DVD Shrink, now i want to burn to DVD-R, but after i have pressed 'back up!' the target area is set to either ' ISO file' or my hard disk folder, the D;/ which is my DVD rom drive is not on the list, I have Nero also, which is wierd why it would not work, I have already gone into preferences and ticked the box for 'burn to nero'
Help please?

jonnyharb ,
Welcome to the forum,
Can you go into Device Manager and see if there are any yellow caution flags showing?
Does the DVD-Burner show up in My Computer?
Is this an external or internal DVD-Burner?
