Whenever I click on the "Open Disc" button on DVD Shrink I get an error message: "DVD Shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid navigation structure".

What does that mean - & what can I do to fix the situation?

You need to give out more info when asking for helps. What movie are you trying to transcode? What program/application did you used to rip in prior to use DVD Shrink?

Keep in mind that most (99%) of the latest dvd movies are encrypted with the latest from RipGuard and ARccOS, so you'll need the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter (one of the greatest FREE ripper) to rip the movie into your hard drive first, then you can have DVD Shrink transcode afterward.

However, lately I've noticed that even if the movie was successfully ripped by either DVD Decrypter or DVDFAB Decrypter, but when you tried to transcode/compress with DVD Shrink or Nero Recode you'll still get some errors or issues. So if you don't have the latest from AnyDVD, then you may want to use VobBlanker to PROCESS the VIDEO_TS.IFO file to filter out any left over craps or junks (dummy cells, fake protected sectors) first and have DVD Shrink transcode afterward.

For more info on how to rip and backup any new dvds, go here http://www.k-probe.com/backup-newly-release-DVD-DVDFAB-Decrypter-... and or how to use DVDFAB Decrypter and VobBlanker 2.1.0.0 (FREE).

All you need to do is change the movie names to the title/name of the movie you're trying to rip and backup that's all. Just follow the guide carefully and you'll be fine.

Good luck!!

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
