Have u put the eloader on ur 2.5? It only works with a UMD of GTA:LCS.
U cant just play it straight off the memory card u ave to load eloader first.
Also try Uo_Snes9x or the latest version of TYL.
If u get an emu with both versions of 1.5 and 1.0 use the 1.0 version with eloader.

Yes mate, u need a UMD of Grand Theft Auto to run homebrew on the higher firmwares, u cant use ur back up as it only works on 1.5 firmware.

Sorry mate theres no other way to run homebrew on the higher firmwares.
GTA is out now sometime so u might find a cheap preowned one in your local games shop.

First off Great thread Sudds, thanks!

Next up, just wondering if you can tell me where I am supposed to "check/uncheck" files as listed in the begining of the directions?

I'm running version 2.6 so that I can buy and use LocationFree. I've bought GTA so I can run these directions.
As an aside I think Sony would be crazy to quash this work around, they must be racking up serious sales of GTA.

Can anyone help me..

Ok, Followed all instructions and all works great, got the emulators working etc.

However, How do I get my GTa save game back? If I go to the PSP save game util, the save game is there, just that when I load GTA, by default its loading the eloader.

Any ideas?

cheers,
exedos.

Ok mate make a back up of the eloader save an delete it off ur memory card, next go to the menu screen on the psp, and put the date a year forward, load up GTA and just save straight away, exit back to the psp menu and set the year back to its original date, then put your eloader save back on ur stick, this will stop eloader booting up automaticly.

Your in the wrong thread mate but i,ll answer ya any way!
Currently there is noway to downgrade firmwares 2.01 or higher and maybe sometime if at all till it comes out.
U can play WLAN with a backup as long as it was included when it was ripped.

its a shame that someone at a video game store doesn't kno what they are talking about.
but you cant downgrade a 2.01
this also happened to me about 3 months ago some manager dude who claimed to have 2 psps said that a 2.1 could play isos, its just 2.5, and 2.6 that couldnt.
