PLEASE HELP - DVD Shrink "space" error

I've downloaded all the latest versions of everything as well as purchased some additional software but can not get the latest version of DVD Shrink to work. I get this error that says: "DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. There is not enough space on the target drive!"

I don't understand, the dvd's are blank they show plenty of space when I look at the compression, but when I go to "Backup DVD" and click ok I get this error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've heard great things about this forum from other boards and am glad to be here!

Go to this site to make sure you are using DVD Shrink correctly.

Most of the time when you receive an error like that it is because you do not have enough room on your hard drive. Remember you have to have enough space for the movie to shrink to.

You can also read some of the other post in this forum. If you see the title of the movie you are trying to copy, then read that forum.

brilliant, you have no idea how much that helped. I thought I had the perfect setup going with multiple dvdrws running but it turns out you were correct about the available space on the drive. Lifesaver begins to describe your saving my 450+ DVD collection from being sold without first being copied.

Hopefully you know the answer to this problem too:

Once I import the files and select the source and target drives it starts to burn and then I get an error stating:

"DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Programming error - exception occured
The handle is invalid"

I also can't get one movie to go through the encryption process at all, there are no errors given when that happens, just nothingness, as if it's about to do it...you know, keeping you just curious enough to wait and see, watching it for an hour just to see if it starts....I can't help that I have nothing more pressing to do! :)

Which decryption are you using? Do you have Any DVD? Do you Have DVDFab Decrypter? Do you have PgcEdit? Basically, I'm not sure what programs you have to work with. If you have DVDFab Decrypter, make sure AnyDVD is turned off before you Decrypt. If you can open the movie in Shrink you may have to re-author the movie to movie only if you can't get out the bogus tracks. Let me know what programs you are working with and the movie you are burning and then I can give you a step by step walkthrough.
