Average Times:

So to get a clue to you if your times are avarage and quit normal or they are way to slow I will show you some examples I have done on a PC with Windows XP, AMD XP 2000+ (1.67 GHz) CPU , 512 Mb memory.

The DVD I have used is Fawly Towers-Series one. The only thing that can be compressed using DVD Shrink is the video part. Audio and subpictures can't be compressed. Video 6.967 Mb, Audio 515 Mb and Subpictures 29 Mb. Total discsize is 7.552 Mb. Total playtime is 3 hours and 11 minutes.

The encoding time depends on the amount of compression (more compression, the longer it takes). If the user is taking out audio and subs, then that will increase the time.

If you have a CPU with
a 1.000 MHz CPU - double all the times except the ripping and burning time.
a 3.000 MHz CPU - halve all the times except the ripping and burning time.
