Hey guys I'm PC retarded, and I would really appreciate any possible help with this issue.
I'm trying to Shrink "Scarface: Anniversary Edition" And it wouldn't Encode it. So I read somewhere that you have to Decrypt it, and did with VobBlanker. Now I have 7.75GB of Files. And then I open it with DVD Shrink, it says it's too big and the instead of the usual under "4.5GB" it's 7.75GB still. I thoguht opening the file's to DVD SHrink would compress it. But now I'm completely lost. Somebody please help me for the love of god!
thanks
Kevin

In DVD Shrink select Edit -> Preferences
Under the preferences tab select DVD 9 and then your file will open. DVD 9 will allow for 8.5 Gigs of space.
Good luck

@kkunert Do you have Nero, if so,try to Nero Recode the 7.75GB file to fit on a DVD5 disk. Then burn with Nero. You're trying to shrink the file to fit a DVD5 aren't you? I have no idea why Shrink would not be able to shrink the 7.75GB file to say 4300MBs. Try getting rid of everything but the movie if you don't have Nero and try shrink again for movie on;y.

kkunert,
First off Vobblanker is not a ripper. Use DVDFAB Decrypter or use PgcEdit w/ the Pls2 Plugin. After you have ripped the movie to HD thenyou use VobBlanker;
A guide is below and you can use Shrink instead of Nero's Recode:
Nero-Recode-2.php" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.k-probe.com/backup-newly-release-DVD-DVDFAB-Decrypter-...

@Car.Mike If I'm reading him correctly I think he has already ripped the files to HD 7.75GB Sounds like he ran it thru VoBlanker? and tried to open it in Shrink. I don't use Voblanker. Does it come out of Voblanker in a file that has to be set in Shrink for it to be opened? He's 1/3 the way there, just can't recode it and burn it yet.Too many steps I'll stick with AnyDVD and Recode.

Below is what was stated by kkunert
"So I read somewhere that you have to Decrypt it, and did with VobBlanker. ". That statement I took to mean he tried to use that proggy to decrypt the DVD and that is not what the program does
He needs to
1.rip it to HD using DVDFAB Decrypter
2.If needed run through the rippped files in VobBlanker
3.Take the Output files and then use Shrink and burn accordingly
Or Use PgcEdit w/ the Pls2 Plugin
I have no problems w/ anyone that use AnyDVD as it is an excellent proggy

What a coincidence? I guess you're pretty lucky dude. I've just finished backing up "SCARFACE: Anniversary Edition" yesterday, using my "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker method" under my sig and it worked 100% flawlessly. Just follow the guide carefully and change the name to your new movie (in this case SCARFACE instead of THE FOG). In addition, if you don't have Nero Recode or if you don't want to use Nero Recode, then you can use DVD Shrink to transcode as usual.
Good luck!!
