Problem with DVD SHRINK 3.2 and Nero 6

Hi.
I have used DVD SHRINK 3.2 and NERO 6 to "back up" DVDs--many times.
Recently, I use SHRINK as normal with it set to use NERO and my DVD drive. It finishes SHRINK and asks for a blank media--I put a blank DVD--a brand I have used often successfully--and it starts to write the "Lead in"...and that is as far as it goes. I have to stop the program and restart my computer to get the DVD drive to quit "burning"(although it isn't).
Here's the thing: After the above happens, I can open Nero, use Nero Express, add the vobs, the ifo, etc. files and can burn the DVD with no problems--so my DVD burner is still working.
It just hangs when trying to go from DVD SHRINK auto to Nero.
Why is this happening?

Have you tried to Shrink, and then open Nero 6 and tell it to burn the file? That is the way I do it. Many people like to take the shortcuts, but I have learned that when I open Nero to burn on its own, I can set the read speed and the write speed. In many cases what may be happening with you is one of several things.

1) Shrink may have encountered an error along the way. This error may have interfered with your Nero.

2) If you didn't decrypt the movie first there could be a repeat clause. However when this happens Shrink would let me know that there was an error.

If you tell me what movie it is I will be able to give you instruction to get it copied.

If I use DVD Shrink and just save to FOLDER, I then open Nero EXPRESS and burn the DVD with no problems. But before, I could use Shrink and it would automatically use Nero to burn(although the files were still saved to a folder.)
Like I said, I have done this many many times, but now it just hangs if I try to burn right after the shrink automatically--and the DVD disc is ruined.
I don't think it is related to the movie--

Did you try to decrypt it first. One thing I have learned is to turn AnyDVD off then Decrypt with the latest update of DVDFab. Then I turn AnyDVD on and open shrink. I shrink the decrypted file to a new folder.

Next I open up Nero and burn the file to a disk. By doing this I can set my speed of read and write.

Did you update to 6.6.1.4. If so that is your problem . revert to an earlier version. Have you changed blank media as that alos can cause the lead-in problem as it does not see the MID Code. Try updating the burner's firmware as that might also cure the problem
