I realize that DVD Shrink has been running very slow. In the past I was able to shrink a movie in about 40-45 minutes, but now it takes about 1 1/2 hours. Has anyone else had this problems?

Make sure your burner didn't slip into PIO mode. If it did, you need to change it back to DMA. To do this, follow these instuctions:

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Double-click IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers to display the list of controllers and channels.
3. Right-click the icon for the channel to which the device is connected, select Properties, and then click the Advanced Settings tab.
4. In the Current Transfer Mode drop-down box, select DMA if Available if the current setting is "PIO Only."
If the drop-down box already shows "DMA if Available" but the current transfer mode is PIO, then the user must toggle the settings. That is:
- Change the selection from "DMA if available" to PIO only, and click OK.
- Then repeat the steps above to change the selection to DMA if Available.

If DMA is already set, make sure you uncheck deep analysis in DVD Shrink.

Also, have you defragged your hard drive lately? If not, it may be a good time to do so.

The device manager didn't solve the problem with DVD Shrink. I will re-install Shrink again.

You have to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them to change the DMA.
