DVD Shrink problems?

I have been burning DVDs for quite some time now - but the last 4 times I have tried I keep getting this message:

Failed to read file "D:/"
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Can anyone help me?

You need a Decrypter program along with DVD shrink for newer movies.
I use ANYDvd it has a free 21 day trial but is not free, but is
regularly updated with free lifetime updates.

With ANYdvd it runs in the background and decrypts the movie and real-time and works well with DVD shrink with no added steps or procedures.

You could Use DVD fab decrypter and VobBlanker for alternative
free solutions but they will add extra steps and more time.

You can use DVDFab Decrypter to rip to your HDD, VobBlanker to correct the structure of the video, and DVD Shrink to transcode.

You can also get that error due to an unreadable disc, make sure that there are no scratches, or dirt on the disc.

I agree w/ LOCO, but it could also be a basd press. If that's the case then jus return it for a diff one. You can also try DVDFAB or DVDecrypter in agressive mode. These proggys work better w/ problemed disc.

for decrypting newer movies (dec2005) you can use DVD Decrypter and dvdshrink check out the link on how to do it http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide13.html

DVD Shrink is not being updated anymore, thus it cannot succesfully decrypt the newer movies. You have to use a ripper/decrypter that is being updated to keep up with the newer encryptions


IMO Its not a dirty disk error.
But we wont know until later.
